Do you think the job is too big for Clarke?
ОтветитьWe're paying for signing 3 non league players 2 years ago to replace 3 experienced players. Owners are daydreaming if they think a mixture of youths and non league will gel each season and get us to play-offs. Other clubs much smaller than us getting bigger names in and reaping the benefit - Can't become a steady Championship with this model, The way it's going not even league 1.
ОтветитьSomething telling what dan said, players stopped playing for collins and now clarke, good examples of barnsley players arent they 😒
ОтветитьLets all support the under 23's at least they put the effort in!!
ОтветитьThey are shit at the moment improve or Clarke needs to bugger off! N so does the board!
ОтветитьNeil for manager 😀😀😀😀
ОтветитьOr Charlie 😂😂😂
ОтветитьOr Dan 😂😂😂
ОтветитьWould also point out that clarke definitely needs to stick to a formation but barnsley fans always say they want a manager who speaks truths but when we get one, clarke and Keith hill for example, fans always turn 😂 Keith hill had us in play offs in championship before board sold best players and all fans hated him
ОтветитьMy take on clarke so far is…
He is out of his depth taking this club forward.
There is no energy, no high press, no identity, no patterns to our play, players look lost, no confidence, no creativity, etc, etc…, i could go on and on!
Performance for me now lads against blackpool, unless i see a performance that is 10x times better than the Huddersfield games then clarke has to go ASAP, snd we need a coach in that has a plan that gets our players playing football with confidence and energy aka Daniel stendel but that is just a dream!
Since dropping from the Championship Barnsley have steadily lost pace from the team. They used to have Kitching and Williams at the back with real pace with Anderson aerially dominant in the middle and he wouldn't let anyone turn him. That meant the back line could push right up and the team could play in the opponent's half.
Now that pace has completely gone, Cotter excluded and he's needed as Barnsley's only creative player, and the back line have to sit deep. The midfield are back in front of the defence. The attack are isolated. They cannot press. For me, this is the underlying issue. The over-eager substitutions and formation changes are a knock on consequence of that. Neil Collins recognised this and played Williams as a CB. That wasn't ideal either and now even that option is gone.
The centre backs come in for some stick but I don't think they play poorly at all. It's just that sitting deep means it is a matter of time before they concede. Bringing in pace in January is a must.
I disagree … Clarke has got clubs promoted before he hasn’t just managed relegation fodder- DKD just signed new club getting used to players and how we play … can’t expect him to slot straight in it will take time
ОтветитьThis was great to listen to whilst I was tidying the house.
Thanks for these lives guys I really appreciate you doing them
Keep the faith ✊️✌️
I was Happy overall with Tuesdays 2-2 draw at home to Charlton, but still frustrated that we didn't put our chances away to win it when we should have. Its a good job you weren't sat next to or near me when slonina parried the ball and gave it away to Charlton only for them to score from that error, because it's usually the lady sat in front of me that 🤬 at the players e.g. Cotter , Okeefe, Russell, Slonina e.t.c. , but when Charlton scored that second goal to put them in the lead , a lot of fans were leaving , i had my head down and my hands in my face 🤦, then I lost it and went absolutely barmey f'ing and blinding at slonina for parrying it away for Luke berry to score for them to have them go up 1-2 , the lady in front of me reacted to my reaction and said to me " see this is what happens and shuck her head in disappointment and disgust at our defending by giving the ball and possession away yet again.
I have backed slonina for too long now , but if he keeps gifting opposition goals like he did Tuesday night, then I can't back him up anymore, because him parrying or punching the ball away to me is like he's handling a hot potato m he can't catch it or wants to take a risk over and over again by parrying it and / or punching it away, which is very frustrating to watch, I'm losing patience with his goalkeeping errors now.
However it's not just him to blame as we gave away too easy , very sloppy goals as their first goal we shouldn't be letting them shoot from outside the box and if they do then defend it in the right way , defend it better for 🤬 sake. As I already mentioned before, their second goal Slonina was at fault yet again with his ridiculous parrying and attemtps to punch the ball away 🤦, just catcht it , like every other goalkeeper does, please for christ sake. Also as much as slonina was at fault most for their second goal , the defending was just as woeful.
Anyway luckily as a lot of Barnsley fans left and a guys son that worked as a academy coach for Barnsley FC , his dad who is friend's with my dad and sits a few seats away from us said to my dad on about 85 minute " I'm going I can't stand to watch anymore of this" , I lol and soon as he left , they scored their second goal courtesy of slonina's goalkeeping errors and our poor defensive play yet again, that certainly took the smile of my face and made me very frustrated, which like I already said, I expressed my frustrations at slonina and the players shortly after I had face palmed and had my hands over my face with my head down looking at the ground 🙄🤬.
Thankfully though max watters again of all players stepped up and clinched a equaliser for us with literally the last kick off the match. We got away with that one, but i will happily take a draw and a point from Charlton ar home. If someone told me we would get a draw and a point with Charlton at Oakwell and beat Blackpool away I wouldn't have believed them with how good both their teams are, but I'm happy with them results, even though we conceded that second goal and which i was and still am rather frustrated about that and the fact that we didn't take the win against Charlton at home.
As for Shrewsbury, they are near the relegation zone for a reason and I mean no disrespect to them , but I think we should beat them and come away with another win aswell as bringing three points back home to Barnsley. I'm predicting a 0-3 win to Barnsley.
Come On You (Super) Reds BFC 🐶❤️🔴⚪️⚽️
