I remember when I completed MGS4 for the first time, it was a Sunday night and I had exams the next day, and it must have been about 2 AM, and the cut scenes just wouldn't end, and although I was enjoying it, I had this feeling of immense fear that I just couldn't end it and sleep as I was so tired and stressed over tests the next day 😂

I'd love to know where MGSV ranks on this list in your opinion

i am a metal gear fan now and i started with peace walker . yes , due to being an amazing and a popular ps1 game many people got into metal gear with solid but i got into metal gear with peace walker . and i do agree that portable ops is heavily underrated . after playing the masterpiece of peace walker i decided to buy portable ops 6 months later and i hated it mainly because i didn't understand the mechanics , but after playing MGS 3 SE i absolutely loved this game .

She was .... a true .... patriot ( cries )( not eva but me ).

Maybe it's because it was the first for me but the story which for me is the most important part of MGS games was perfected at the first 3D attempt, the twists, the turns, the memories. MGS2 I found to be incredible also, the bait and switch with Raiden annoyed me at first but the plot has become more and more relevant as time has gone on.

I like 2 but one of its downsides is that you only play as Snake for a fraction of the game. I like that they introduced Raiden and had another character to play as but I wish it was a Snake game like Metal Gear Solid but better. That's probably one of the good things about Twin Snakes. Also I like games where they're infiltrating facilities with Sneaking Suits and sneaking by heavy security just a little bit more than sneaking through a jungle or a desert thats something I like about Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2. But atleast there's brief moments in Metal Gear Solid 3 & 4 with facilities but just not enough.

The reason things weren't mentioned like the machines in peacewalker in other instalments (if going by chronological timeline) like mgs2 is because the fact that in 2 they talked about information and censorship. Only showing you what the world needs to know and not the negative shit. They probably hid a lot of past events up well.

mgs4 is the best

You can't just put mgs1 on the same level as mgs1 twin snakes. You don't know how much I love mgs1, I love it so much that it's my favorite game of all time and how it was made at its time was why it was so good.

I was gonna add my list of what I thought the worst to best metal gear games were but then I realised something. I love the entire Metal Gear Saga as a whole. From the beginning of Snake Eater, all the way to the end of Metal Gear Rising. A truly legendary franchise Salutes

2. MGS1: The Original, 1998 - Best Story & Voice Acting
1. MGS2: Sons of Liberty - Best Gameplay in the franchise.

NOTE: MGS5 GZ/TPP is straight up irredeemable trash. It’s garbage and an absolute disgrace to the franchise and I refuse to acknowledge it. How can anyone like this game? There I said it.

I've only played mgs3 mgs2 mgs4 and mgs5 and the way I would rank them BEST to WORST would be the same order I have them in this sentence because I got stuck at the start of mgs5 phantom pain and I can't get past the start of it because it's too open world for me.
