So THAT is how the LCD at the front gets set. I've owned a couple PCs with the clock speed display and never bothered to look at how it was getting is info. Neat!

"CMOS battery failed" ugh, those Dallas clock chips. Well, at least they didn't leak poisonous acid goo all over everything like the old barrel batteries. You can get them working again pretty easy by dremeling away part of the plastic casing around the dead battery and soldering a CR2032 holder onto its + and - terminals.

the 99mhz on the display at the front looks awesome. nice addition of the 5.25 drive as well, some of these very early pentiums would have had those floppy drives when they were new as well. great job getting it all working, especially the drivers.

my first ever pc was just like that, only difference was it had a soundblaster audio card and i didnt had that bigger floppy drive, i wish you used the funny sounds it make instead of the music, .. when i got an upgrade i got a pentium 133mhz.. geez i dont know if i miss those times or what.. anyway, cheers!
