Great but prefer tami ...both brilliant in their own way special way.

I love the pounding drumbeat all the way through this song and the brassy backing,its still as great as it was when I bought it back in 66!,brings back some good memories!

If you are a fan of Tom Jones's early stuff, you hear Les Reed all over this tune! Johnny Harris or Johnny Spence could have had a hand in the arrangement as well as they also did arranging for Jones in the early days. And this is a "B" side! Now, to run away and find "Small Town" which is the "A" SIDE! Holy crap! lol About Kiki Dee: One "Dusty Springfield" type vocalist was enough for the USA, I guess. The only hit Kiki had here was "Don't Go Breaking My Heart", which was a duet with Elton John back '77. Too bad! I like her voice! A real "belter" with lots of "soul"!

Tami Lynn's original version of this song was called "I'm gonna run away from you". This cover version with slightly different words by Kiki Dee is,in my opinion,an improvement on the original.
