First and ready
Ответитьnumber 2 woohoo!!! 💨🐿️
ОтветитьThanks for this! The background music makes me think I’m at orca show in the early 90s it’s working to keep me engaged if that was the purpose of it. 😊
ОтветитьI polished my hood the other day.
It looked great in my garage and with the special flashlight.
However in the sun it looked bad. There were swirls.
Was my pad not prepped correctly?
May I just say, when your pad is properly “seasoned”, that 1 spray of Gold Standard is more than enough for a 2x2 section. Frequent cleaning or multiple pads makes short work of even the larger trucks, vans and SUVs. I’m not saying Gold Standard is the bestest of the best, but I am saying it gets the job done 99%, 99% of the time. My “go to” has always been Menzerna … and it still is, but Gold Standard gives it a run for the money.
😊😊😊
I really loved it when you showed how a "section" is as big as a open folded towel. Great visual representation!❤
ОтветитьStay with it Owen, It's really Cool once you get the hang of it. It becomes very Easy, However.... It is still called "W O R K"!!! So there's that Also. Shine on my Man.... Geterdunnn.
ОтветитьAnother great video!
I have a question? Would I be able to use the red pad with rotary and gold standard on my boat? Is it safe?
Nice to see the younger guys getting great instructions. The floor polisher is so similar, I never thought of that.
ОтветитьYvan: "You like the DA over the rotary? Training is over. Get out of here, kid." 🤣
ОтветитьThat background music makes me want chips and salsa!
ОтветитьHey yvan, at what speed do i put my rotary with the gold pad ? For cutting and for finishing, same speed ? Speed 1 ?
ОтветитьLearning from the master 👍🏼👍🏼💪🏼💪🏼
ОтветитьBang on tutorial as usual. Thanks for the lesson Yvan.
ОтветитьWhat is a safe way to clean dried polish and gunk off your actual machine ? Alcohol? Water and a rag just is not doing it
ОтветитьGreat video as always Yvan. If I don't have a bucket like you have, what's the best way to get the pad damp the right amount?
ОтветитьVery helpful
ОтветитьHow much rinseless do you put in the pad cleaner water?
ОтветитьExcellent video, I’ve never polished before and I think I’m definitely gaining the confidence I need to try after watching this, thanks.
ОтветитьWhat process would you recommend for an initial polish of a urethane paint with integrated clear and urethane sealer to bring out the gloss?
ОтветитьA quick question.
I have applied a ceramic coating - decon, 2 stage polish, panel wipe, and buffed with 3 towels. Looked amazing. Waited 24h in my garage and looked amazing again, no high spots. After 2 weeks the client came back and on the hood the ceramic looked like a clear coat run. How is this possible and why. How can i fix it?
I’m a shorty lol, my question is how to buff and polish the hood and roof of a crew cab Silverado? On a step ladder I’m either up too high to balance or down too low to reach!
ОтветитьI’m so happy you guys made a video like this. I’m still scared of polishing any car. Feels like I’m gonna scratch it even worse or polish it too much that it messes up the clear coat. This is a really educational video. Thanks guys.
ОтветитьI'd love to see a video that gets into the chemistry and mechanics of what happens when we are detailing. How these chemicals work, and what makes them different.
What makes All Clean different from incredible suds? Not just in the way it is used, but what makes these two chemicals different, are there different surfactants? Why is one a stronger cleaner? Why does incredible suds make suds?
What is a polymer? What is a surfactant? What makes ceramic gloss and quick beads different in their composition? What is a water activated ceramic, is that really how that works?
Awesome video. I'm ready to practice in my wife car. Can you share info on the inspection light. Thanks
ОтветитьLove that you showed polishing on a less than perfectly painted car. Also love these videos where we get to listen in on Yvan teaching in real life, so valuable!
ОтветитьWhat do you put in your pad washer?
ОтветитьI want to polish my car since its 13 years old. Can i use gold standard polish with hand application?
ОтветитьIs there a video on the attachments on the cart
ОтветитьDoes it hurt to machine polish a car that has ceramic coating on it
ОтветитьGreat video but why are they using a corded DA It makes no sense. Go with a cordless battery powered DA.
ОтветитьGreat video, so to get rid of scratches and swirls i would use the wool pad with gold standard spray and finish with the red pad with gold standard spray? Thx
ОтветитьNice video--teaching a teen how to do this. Although my dad taught me a lot of things (either directly instructing or by my watching), a couple of things he didn't. When he took my sister and I to ski for our first time: he got us into our boots, latched the skis, and said go have fun. Another was he got me my first polisher (10", butterfly handles, if that's the right term) back in '77 when I was learning to drive. He told me to wax and buff his car with it, but to be careful. (Lots of instruction there. What on earth did he mean I kept wondering.) I was apprehensive but learned quickly that the machine had "a mind of its own" and that I was best off just guiding it. He came out occassionally to make sure that the LeSabre was ok.
ОтветитьI love the gold standard but i wish you had gallon or half gallons available.
ОтветитьI’m new to learning paint correction, but isn’t the clear coat failure just a layer of oxidation that can be removed?
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you for explaining everything, you do such a good job. One question, where can I get a cart like that? I really like how you bring the pad washer up like that instead of bending over to clean the pads.
Ответитьquestion @DIY Detail what is the other way if you dont have the bucket to water the pad? can i use bottle sprayer with mist spray to the pad? before using it to car surface?
Ответитьwhat do you use as solution to clean the pad in the Lake Country Pad cleaner 4000?
ОтветитьIf yourll had a DIY detail cutting compound would you then get paint to 99%? It just seems that the spray polish is mild so yourl happy with shinny scratches because it can't get down like a cutting compound can???
ОтветитьThe rotary is only more aggressive because everyone is putting 10 lbs of pressure on top of it and digging paint
ОтветитьThis was one of the best videos i've ever seen from you. Fun and informative. Good for people like me who have little knowledge and are afraid to mess up. Thanks a lot
ОтветитьYou display the Patience of a Saint. Thanks for educating us Sir!
ОтветитьSo if I have the pads washing bucket, how many pads would you say it takes to do a car? Just 1 of each if doing wool pads, yellow pad and red pad? Or would you suggest more?
Ответитьwhere can we find the pad washer please?
