I think he's a top 5 coach in the country! He's a players coach that cares deeply about all his guys. He has to work really hard to compete and fix the program, his recruiting is top 3 in the big 10. GBR ☠️
ОтветитьIt's crazy how deep the B1G is in regards to the conference's headcoaches.
ОтветитьHe has to earn. So no, not yet, He has a chance
ОтветитьHCMR isn't building a winning team. He is building a winning program.
ОтветитьNot yet, but getting there. Although this year is set-up for real success. Heavy in home games, only one trip out west for a suspect UCLA team, and a rebuilding and talented Michigan team in Lincoln. They even get the dreaded Iowa Hawkeyes in Lincoln! Outside of away games at Minnesota and Penn State as challenges, Matt should be able to have a very successful season.
ОтветитьComparison is at the root of all suffering. I like what I’m seeing and hearing at this moment, and I hold that lightly. It does seem as if his chess is at a BIG10 strategic level, but the future holds how it stacks up. Blah-blah-blah, GBR always!
ОтветитьAs of right now? Maybe. Lanning, Day, Franklin are top 3. I
I see a really strong second tier group that are a combination of “need to prove” Rhule, Moore, Cignetti, J. Smith from MSU (don’t sleep on this guy), Fisch from Washington, Fickle (maybe)
And consistent, but not elite”. Belima, Farentz, PJ Fleck (less so)
I’d say put any of those in any order you want. Personally I would put 4. Belima 5. Farentz
Adam, love your stuff. But a coach with a losing Big 10 record should not even be discussed yet.
ОтветитьTo quote a Missourian, show me
ОтветитьToday's "coach" involves so much more than just the product on the field, it's recruiting, roster management, public relations, fundraising, promoting the entire athletic department And school, etc etc
ОтветитьIf he wants to be Utah State-Lancaster County and tries to find unicorn QBs, he's Jimbo Fisher out on the pier fishing.
If he wants to put the QB under center, run for 375yd/game and make opposing DBs turn into matadors (olè defense) then they will erect statues.
What’s Rhule’s record against ranked teams? Good coaches beat good teams.
ОтветитьYou have to have a winning record versus more than one other coach to be ranked that high
ОтветитьThey must be judging on could rather than what's been proven. 😊
ОтветитьHe has had to deal with alot. I don't think a winning attitude and culture is hired and done on day 1. He had to do alot of renovation work to this point.
I think credit needs to be given for getting Satterfield out of the OC position that was his friend so he had to make a tough call there...
I think he is top 3 if he does what he us supposed to with this group of kids. Ferentz prepares players for the NFL but he has some big weaknesses..
Franklin benefits alot by only having to compete with Michigan and OSU in the past. Once again if Rhule does what he is supposed to do... This would push him past Franklin..
Cignetti bought a culture with importing a team.... I think his true value will show this year and next... He imported his chemistry if you will.
Minnesota should not be beating us. That shows the damage and destruction done to husker football. We should rectify that dilusion this year
i honestly dont care... we need to win some dang football games. thats it...control the controllables. Cincinnati is next
ОтветитьHold it!!!. Only number five out of the big ten and not the entire college football league???. It's that thinda meanless???.
ОтветитьThat's a pretty bold statement, he hasn't proved anything yet.
ОтветитьThere is no way at this point.
ОтветитьNobody cares where the coach is ranked … Saban was ranked the best because his teams won … that’s all that matters!
ОтветитьNo, not yet. Didn't NU finish the '24 season around 12th out of 18 in the conference? I'd say more like the 10th best coach in the Big Ten er Big 18 or whatever the hell we call it currently.
ОтветитьCurrently, I would rank him outside the top 5 for the reasons Adam stated.
ОтветитьTop 2
ОтветитьMatt is a loser. He doesn't know how to win a close game
ОтветитьRight now, not really. Just like Rayola, in the next couple years. Rhule built nebraska up pretty good team. But this is too early.
ОтветитьIf you take into account the recruits we’ve landed starting with Dylan’s, the 25 class, and then taking into consideration Trae’s commitment and not just the names being mentioned but the visits and praise coming from the best ‘26, ‘27, ‘28 blue chip recruits I understand why people have bought in and gave him at 5. Now, that said the last time we won a Natty I was 2 and the last time we played for I was 6 so I’ve drank enough kool-aid over the years to side with what Adam was getting at. Recruiting is great and I’m more confident in this team than I have been in a very long time but the reality is we are entering this season with a 50-69 record the last decade, haven’t put up double digits in the win column since 2012, while we have a lot of talented on our roster a majority of that talent is very young, and most importantly we play in arguably the toughest conference in the country where off weeks typically end in L’s. In no way do I say this being pessimistic, all I’m saying is let’s go make a college football playoff or win 10 games in a season before we start putting our players, coaches, or team in the upper echelon of any ranking
ОтветитьAt presenting himself, he's probably #1. But you have to go by season success, and until we are winning again, he isn't in the conversation.
ОтветитьThis is the year where talk doesn’t matter. He’s got his staff, his way in place, now the results have to start showing up. I don’t think he’s on the hot seat but last year the results were the bare minimum of what was required (have a winning record and win a bowl game). We still need to win the games we are supposed to win and upset a few that we are “supposed” to lose.
ОтветитьNo, what his receipt says he's bottom tier lol
ОтветитьI like Rhule, but he has to show it. Kurt Iowa out coached him last year.
ОтветитьNO
ОтветитьLook at his record against ranked opponents too. Matt Rhule has to be the most overrated HC
ОтветитьCoach??...What does he coach??.....NOTHING is the answer....He's nothing more than a figure head who does press conferences and some recruiting .....And an OUTRAGEOUSLY OVERPAID FIGURE HEAD AT THAT.....
ОтветитьI say he better earn that and I think he's too competitive not to be a top 2 coach in the Big10 when it's all said and done.
ОтветитьMeans nothing! Need to win 10 plus this year or the label doesn’t hold…yet
ОтветитьAfter USC, Oregon, PSU, OSU, and Michigan...it is anybody's guess who is next. Get real.
ОтветитьHe has done nothing
ОтветитьNice. Now go win us some games.
ОтветитьNot #5, #1. He'll Resurrect the Best Football Team Ever. Worth #1.GBR☠️
ОтветитьMatt Rhule and his over all coaching work is a top coach in College Football but in the Big 10 the evidence says that Rhule cannot be correctly placed below #10 or #11 in the Big 10 in 2025.
ОтветитьIt does not matter. You got to win the games.
Ответить
