Why "Highly Sensitive People" Struggle To Take Action

I’m 44 and work in the academia. However I’m propably supposed to be a hardstyle dj and a part-time dominatrix.

I was married for 23 years to a highly abusive person. I know in my heart I'm supposed to help prevent people from getting in these situations.

Childhood trauma had definitely stopped me from taking action or delaying taking action. I think it’s because I never had the chance to go after what I want without hearing negative feedback to reassure my fears. I’m working on it in therapy, but once the voices of negativity stopped, it’s a whole new world for me.

I finally gave in and bought it, not because I believed it would help, but because I had nothing left to lose. And man… I don’t even know how to describe it. I know it's the right step for me to take a leap and God it's scary trust has been betrayed by care givers trusting and believing in myself is a hurdle to jump over.

Well the past couple of months, I've been really working on my Art again trying to get enough Artworks to display in an art show next year and it's been going well! I've been doing art since I was like 4 years old LOL and took so many art classes in high school and won awards and sold paintings, etc. So I decided to give it another try :) One of my "problems" is that I want to do so many things that it's really hard to focus on one thing LOL I want to do art, I want to play guitar, I want to design clothing, I want to make at least one quilt in my life LOL I want to build a gazebo, I want to get certified for Past life regressions to help people, etc. But for now, I will focus on my art LOL one step at a time! 🌹🌹
