Abort, Retry Fail? pls help

when i copied the files to the c drive it said incorrect switch. I went on with the process until you needed to enter the cd rom. i clicked cancel and a few other buttons then it worked.

I did Osr/2 and it was the same! when I had no internet : "Cannot read property 'data' of *undefined*" Lol

For me it copies 216 files every time

um it just says Missing Opreating System when i restart

The nostalgia watching a windows 95 installation...

When i try installing with the iso it dosen't wanna copy items.

Tip:- To copy Windows 95 installation files to the C: drive, here is the command
A:/
xcopy R:\ C:\INSTALL\ /S

Im having one problem. its once after i complete the installation when it says to remove all disks and than restart. i do just that but when i boot up there is a message saying "Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer" (i also try restarting several times) im using VirtualBox 6.1 instead of VMware if that matters

On VMware player 16 i'm having trouble starting up the system:

"While initializing device NDIS:
Windows protection error, You need to restart the computer"

I finished the install but get a General Protection Error in VirtualBox when I try to boot.

Whats the difference in Win95 (cd) and (3.5) Should I have both?

I did this so many times back in the day. Thank you for the nostalgia. In some ways working with 95 / 98 was funner than working with modern Windows today. My favorite of all time was XP.

So know this is old but i followed these steps and my mouse does not work any tips?

It said "Windows protection error." What can I do?

I'm installing onto a real device and I got to the fixed disk prompt and went through it but then when rebooting (I used ctrl/alt/del) it didn't load into the A: prompt but instead is just stuck on a blinking underscore. Any suggestions on how to solve this issue? I'm using an old Fujitsu Lifebook with a pentium processor and bios from 95/96

whenever I use floppy disks or a cd-rom without installing DOS first, it says "netapi.dll not found." it is in a .cab but the os cant extract it. also, I cant browse for the file. help!

nevermind i found a solution.

thanks for the incredible tutorial! Sadly for me, it seems that I can't first boot into MS-DOS, formats the disk, and then run setup, because every time SUWIN prompts "An error has occurred in your application" I couldn't begin the setup. I have to boot into setup directly and later.

Hi MJD can you make windows 95 installation video on old tower pc without virtual machine if you can.

i have 216 files instead of 37 files in WIN95 folder

My virtual hard drive has nothing in it, I followed all installation steps :(

Apparently, from what I have heard it is impossible to run a Windows 95 vm on a host machine with a cpu clocked higher than 2.1Ghz. Does anyone know a work-around for this?
(Error description: Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer.)

Edit: The vm does successfully boot to safe mode.
