Best ePaper WiFi Humidity and Temperature sensor?!

And now a year later I have one and there is still no getting it integrated into HA. It's pretty, yes. But until it has some way to integrate it's useless to me.

The device seams to connect to my wifi initially and it does show on the device itself that it is connecte. But then it seems to be disconnecting, I can not fin it in the Shelly app and my router shows teh device offline.

Thanks for the great review and detailed operation, deciding to buy 4 to replace my old shelly. Btw just have a question, is this GEN2? or GEN3?

tried to add the sensor to the HA... the sensor is discovered by the HA, but no entity found for the dashboard :-( any hints?

H&T still not supported in HA ??
I have bought a Shelly H&T but having trouble to get it into HA. Firstly when I setup the Wifi it's only connected to my home network when in AP Mode (Allthought I can access it with the Homenetwork IP number). If it turns to normal display mode the unit is no longer visible in my network ?? In HA the shelly intergration is discovering the H&T device. but I do not get any device / entities.
I'm running on the latest version of HA, and shelly intergration and also the 0.12 firmware in the H&T (Even tried the 0.13 beta).
I I read here there should a 'native' support for the H&T. So what am I doing wrong. (I can't also not add it to the shelly app itself since it is not getting thru the setup procedure because it's saying bluetooth is stopped in the last steps of the setup - Added a lot of shelly's with this phone)

So how can I get it runjing in Home assistant ???

If it cannot report temperature with 0.1°C resolution minutely or nearly minutely it cannot be the best sensor... It's not usable for precise temperature control in a feedback loop...

I bought it and found it a bit useless for my use case. It only updates temperature every 5 minutes or every 0.5 degrees C even when powered which makes no sense. Considering my old Xiaomi sensor offers realtime temperature change I found this really poor.

Trying to add this device for over an hour. Don't buy this. It's a pain to add just like all Shelly devices

Did someone tested MQTT already? Topic is dropping this: {"id": 0,"tC":28.5, "tF":83.2} Makes my applications to show 0 instead of the value. How to solve this?

Does this support Alexa routines triggers as sensor?

Nice review, been looking at these for a few of those "wife approved" H&T sensor upgrades ;) I saw you using the IKEA rechargeable batteries, I've had a few devices in the past that didn't work well with them probably because of the 1.2V (instead of 1.5V) on most rechargeable brands, I'm guessing there's been no issue with the Shelly device in this regard?

Nah, for sensors only Zigbee. Aqara is unbeatable in this space, period. Mesh network, is another unbeatable advantage over Wi-Fi / Bluetooth.

Just to confirm that you can use it on USB-C with Alkaline battery in. Device will use USB-C as power source.

The standby power seen on the new version is the LED. 😂😉 You should use a cable whiteout a LED.... Then you should see it uses 0A

Instead of a new product launching, Shelly should deliver their 1L relay which is impossible to buy for the last few months.

It's nice that they are keeping themselves relevant in the fast changing market. For sensors with no display I use DIY with esp home. So I like the clean look with the display that I can place anywhere in the house.

Wife approved iot items are hard to find 😄
