The snow is beautiful! Btw, when it packs onto the trees, it acts as an insulator. It keeps the wind chill off them. Speaking of a chill, your wood stove is doing a fine job! ❤

Does anyone know why he shakes the trees?

Seems like several of the trees in front/side aren't there anymore. Maybe cut down for the addition or just to have a bigger front yard area??

This might sound crazy, but when we get a lot of snow, I would rather go out there a couple of times and shovel and snow blow when the snow is 6-8 inches instead of doing all that work when the snow is 14-18 inches.
Either way, that is a beautiful set up you have up there👍👍, beautiful scenery, quiet and no pesky neighbors bothering you.

Which brand of wood stove would you suggest? Btu's and efficiency? Please and thank you

Kyle it might be a good idea to build you a Woodroom unto the cabin, you can store dried wood In there and wouldn't need to go out to the shed as often ❤❤❤❤ I have friends who have this In North East Texas Pittsburg TX is where I was born and raised in the Piney woods area of North East Texas. We don't see as much snow as you do, but we do have a lot of Black Ice there and my friends swear by this wood room, also if you have a lot of pine needles and pine cones in your area, save them for your kindling starter for your wood stove we use them in East Texas for That purposes ❤❤❤❤
