yikes these american truck companies have become trash concerned with quarterly goals. buy toyota
ОтветитьShameful quality control.
ОтветитьThe dealership couldn't find it because you have the mechanics. Dealerships only have techs.
ОтветитьVery interesting
ОтветитьJB Weld should work or just have it welded.
ОтветитьI’d get a good aftermarket from oreillys. Cheaper and better quality to say the least.
ОтветитьI worked at aamco we bought a original ford converter once it was all back together sounded like someone dropped a fork on a garbage disposal once they swapped it out it didn’t make noise and worked fine even factory oem parts come with defects
Ответитьlooks like its the sleeve itself not the weld
ОтветитьCan’t you just weld it . There is fluid flying around inside it so it’s not going be that unbalanced anyway . And the weld will be fairly uniform and very close to the centre so should make very little difference
ОтветитьThat didn't look like the weld was leaking. It looks like it's above the weld? I'm only viewing on a phone not a PC so maybe I'm not seeing it close enough.
ОтветитьWhy can't find problem at dealer....parts changers...that's why.
ОтветитьNever knew there was transmission fluid in the torque converter. 😎
ОтветитьOne of the reasons why I dislike newer vehicles. Cheaper parts used.
ОтветитьJust imagine how bad the leak is under pressure from the front pump it would be freaking pouring you would pass everything, but a gas station getting more fluid
ОтветитьI say it on just about every video that mentions a Colorado, but i can't stand them. Our work trucks are all Colorados and its all issues and trouble.
ОтветитьWhat were the symptoms of the leak?
ОтветитьTrans is where?
ОтветитьOut, ok my bad
Ответить2016 correct
ОтветитьYou mean HIGH mileage Colorado. Chevys are crap. Get a Tacoma
ОтветитьExcellent find! Quality diag. We need more of you. So called transmission specialists are ALL OVER THE PLACE in diagnosis and prices. Disgusting industry.
ОтветитьPretty smart to find that.
ОтветитьGM quality, LOL
ОтветитьSlap another weld
ОтветитьTIG welding pressure tested again!
ОтветитьIt's turn and burn and will it work then it's good
ОтветитьRecently lost my Dad and ended up buying his “new” Chevy 2019 Colorado…now at 63k miles I’m getting a “shimmy” whenever I hit 45mph (ish) but it can happen on the highway too, it just seems to be more in the 45-55 mph band. At first I thought, it was the tires as they were due to be rotated, balanced and aligned. Did this. The “shaking” continued. I’ve literally had this truck for 6 mo. and put all my savings into buying what was owed on it…so my question is, is this likely the torque converter or could it be something else? I don’t feel it in the steering wheel, it’s more under the truck. It’s like a “rumble strip” sound every 2 seconds on the highway. I really need to get this fixed before it becomes non fixable on a financial level. Any ideas? And thank you for this video…also…if it is the torque converter, about what can i expect in charges these days? SMH, 60k miles? To me this is near new! Thanks to all who can give me some advice about this. Be well all.
ОтветитьHello, thank you for your knowledge, time and video. I have a 2015 that is leaking transmission fluid, is there a way to kind of or confirm that it's coming from here without removing the transmission?
ОтветитьDid you guys put in a new torque converter to fix this problem? Would you mind sharing with me the one you guys used please?
Ответить😂 just out of the warranty
ОтветитьIS That the 8 speed or 6 speed please?
ОтветитьLooks like a Toyota weld junk!
ОтветитьAny wear on the transmission pump bearing race or bad torque converter seal? I’m suspecting I have the same issue fluid leaking from the bell housing.
ОтветитьWe are having same problem on 2016 gmc canyon 2.5 .we replaced with GM brand torque converter seal 2 times and still leaking .ours has 270k miles now and first time having issue with it.
Ответить8l45 transmission came with shitty fluid that causes the torque converters to fail
ОтветитьThis 8L90 transmission?
ОтветитьJust took mine yesterday to a near machineshop where they rebuild them , they’re very popular , I had dropped the transmission twice in a week and nobody could find the leak , replaced inner bushing case seal front seal wish me luck 🍀
Ответитьthats what JB Weld is for lol
ОтветитьSo sad 😢
ОтветитьI don’t understand why the dealer couldn’t find this problem. If your putting the transmission in Drive and Reverse and the vehicle is not moving, It’s almost a no brainer 😅
ОтветитьAbout to check my dads 2015 Colorado I think it’s the same problem
ОтветитьI would grab a welder and weld it back up and put it back in
ОтветитьQuality of everything has gone downhill in recent years. If it were me I'd get a junkyard torque converter from an older truck and flush it good.
ОтветитьDei's can't solve complicated problems 😂. You are a true Professional ❤😂.
ОтветитьWeld it
ОтветитьDamn and my brothers 2018 Colorado has the shutter issue at 88k. These American cars are all POS.
ОтветитьDiesel or gasser?
ОтветитьWould this be causing the shudder?
Ответитьtig weld it
ОтветитьShould have been a recall on those. Way too many were bad.
Ответить
