For those that don’t know, Cybertronian society was based around a cast system where based on a Cybertronian’s alt mode they would be forced to live the rest of their lives as a specific role.

Any Cybertronian that were demolition or construction vehicles worked in demolition and construction, military alt modes would be drafted into the military and mining based alt modes would be forced to die in Energon mines.

There were exceptions like race car alt modes that were either elites that just raced through life or probably celebrities or something relatively cushy like library work.

Then there were triple formers. Cybertronians that couldn’t be ascribed a role because they had more than just one alt mode. People like Soundwave, Blitzwing and Megatron were such people.

Because Cybertronian society couldn’t accommodate to such people they were forced into gladiatorial or mining work, treated as abominations or second class citizens and ultimately died due to the piss poor quality of life those “jobs” had.

It was ultimately a function first society that put the basic right of its own people second and bots were just forced to accept their lot in life.

Oh you wanna be an actor? Too bad! You can’t be an actor because you weren’t born to be an actor. You were born to be a construction worker no matter how good or bad of a job you do with that role you’re taking it anyway because that’s the form you were given.

You see the similarities here? Carl wants the same thing here. A completely functional first society that focuses on the biological function of a very complex creature that has evolved beyond such concepts.

We have societies of people for a reason Carl. Because we have evolved beyond just survival. We have achieved the pinnacle of such primal instincts.

I actually can't believe how disingenuous Destiny was/is. People are crapping on Sargon but nearly all of Destiny's arguments are "yeah but" followed by him inserting his own vaguely connected argument that misses half of what the other guy says. He just seems to fixate on one word, do the "i'm bored" headroll and then say something that doesn't entirely apply.

Looking back on this, Sargon did well here. There was a huge hype train around the time about how much he got pushed in, but it seems like Destiny moved off most of these rhetorical and moral positions.

The disagreement comes down to this, Sargon believes social definitions have to conform to biological reality, Destiny believes the definitions can change in any way wich will make more people happy.

I've never heard so many contradictory takes in my life lol. Most if not all of Sargon's arguments were incredibly fallacious. Every single one of his takes balance precariously on a subjective definition that he failed to define but claimed to be an indisputable fact. He opens with non sequitur, and when challenged resorts to red herrings (fucking non-stop, every time Destiny tries to get him to elaborate on his foundation or definitions that he relies on, he pivots into some other abstract unsupported argument), circular arguments (A is true, because B, and B is true because A), and begging the question (Premise A is "obviously" true, therefore conclusion B. When Destiny asks why premise A being true is obvious, and asks Sargon to elaborate, he interrupts and resorts back to Red herrings, hence failing to support why conclusion B should remain true, as premise A was left undefined).

Lets ignore his conclusion for a second, speaking just from the standpoint of an idea being logically consistent - if you find yourself being motivated by emotion, maybe you're angry, or frustrated etc. take a deep breath, take a step back and actually process the delivery and consistency of the information being presented. If you still find yourself being genuinely convinced by the arguments Sargon uses to support his claims (I'm not talking about agreeing with his conclusion from the beginning, actually look at the reasoning he uses to defend it objectively), please try to educate yourself further and understand logic and rhetoric, taking extra care to read and understand logical fallacies. You may be susceptible to being easily hoodwinked and taken advantage of by people practicing sophistry.

To sum up. The premise behind all his arguments is "Because Sargon wants it to be that way". He completely failed to support anything he presented with either evidence or logical conclusions.

Funny to see Destiny so confidently wrong on so many aspects now since Sweden and all major progressive countries have banned the use of hormone blockers for a reason. That is the case since 2021. Also most of the research concerning brains is more than flawed and Destiny clearly hasn't read any of this stuff. But it's an old video and admittedly he has changed thankfully. The philosophy professor (the Aqua professor) really had very strong arguments and is the only one who convincingly made the point that transwomen aren't women. It was an excellent debate and goes to show that Destiny was (at least back then) mostly good at applying debate tactics rather than actually trying to get to know the truth.

Sargon clearly won with the discussion of gender ideology. It is a mental illness, and suddenly bifurcating gender and sex to try and justify the normality of switching deeply established norms in society is insane.

Right off the bat, Sargon's argument states that we should start reproducing as soon as we become sexually active, due to the designs of nature; Sargon thinks we should have intercourse with children.

Picking a side at random and defending it as a mental/verbal challenge is a skill no doubt. Its def all entertaining for sure. But out-debating ones opponent doesnt always mean it was Persuading/influencing for the audience. N also sometimes losing a debate doesnt mean u didnt foster thought provoking/open minded vibes. Some debaters are just not the best representative for that side. watching debates where both sides r passionate+educated on the topic is informative and also entertaining….But dont get me wrong ill settle for dumpster fire…i got time🦦🔥😅

Sargon might have missed a potential W when he didn't mention that biological women might have maternal instincts that trans women just don't, even with hormones and such. I haven't fully researched this topic so take this with a grain of salt but this could potentially be a sound argument against the idea that the roles of mother and father can be swapped without much consequence.
