That is bizarre that they have the sprue cutters and needle files under lock and key.. At my local Hobby Lobby the only items locked up are the airbrushes understandably.

Nice Hobby Lobby in your area. Our H/L in Pa only locks up the air brushes and compressors. Other than that the kits are the same as other H/L's in our area. Thanks for sharing.

I can never understand why the only Tamiya kit HL carries is the Bulldog. It’s a great kit but come on. How many other kits does Tamiya produce?

I hope my H/Ls get some of the new kits so I don't have to rely on FEE Bay.

It is huge. There is no danger to have any of those up here in Quebec. All we have is..........Michael's, which has nothing except some paint bottles and a couple of scale models. Here, we don't have anything. In the states, we see a bike shop at almost every street corner. Here? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Canadian Walmart has about just 10% of the americain one. On Canadian Amazon too, there are a billion more things you can get, but we can't. We can't buy any 2k clearcoat, Lacquer paint and many other substances like that here and we don't have anything like the second amendment, we are not allowed to have anything to defend ourselve. Even the pepper spray is officialy forbiden but tolereted because in the 80' women said it was agains dogs, so the loosen up on this one. We are allow to own a gun but we are not allowed to carry it on us like in the US. Keep at home or transportation to a shooting practice and that is all. we have the most restrictive government. We can't even put what we want in our own home backyard. You guys have a bigger selective choice of animals to own than us. I envy you when I see those huge Hobby Stores of yours.

Prices have climbed too high at HL in 2025. You're not really getting 40% off anymore, when they add $5-7 to the former price. I've been finding better deals at independent hobby shops.
My local HL has the exact same kits shown in your video. However, supply to stores has begun to dry up, and a lot of slots on the shelf have been empty for more than a month.
btw, the local Ollie's discount chain store here hasn't had any new inventory since January 2025.

The Mats are pretty cool works great as a portable mat if you do modeling on the road

If you build armor kits, don't bother coming here. Cars galore and a few aircraft kits.

I was kind of taken back by the spray paint out in the open. In California all that is under lock and key as well as the tools and airbrushes. Every store locks up spray paint here. I guess it must be a stste law. We have a section for plastic sheet, rod and strip as well as brass tubing and sheet for the scratch builders. Our store just added a big section for model railroads. The nearest independent hobby shops are a 60 mile round trip from where I live so Hobby Lobby and to a lesser extent Michael's are it for hobby supplies.

I could see new model kits as 1/32 scale aircrafts , Star Trek , NASA , more hobby supplies available to Hobby Lobby store because I visited Hobby Lobby stores in central Wisconsin couple of times but I brought hobby supplies , few model kits past years but I noticed no new model kits and hobby supplies not available at hobby lobby stores but lousy air brush supplies and electric powered air pumps are few in protected glass as locked . I had go to Hobby Tower store but I can’t go to town due my truck need brake repair . But Hobby Lobby store are there plus hobby store in downtown and other small hobby store in my home village as affordable for me has limited income reason but I’m older adult as retired now . I promised my second wife about good condition as used dresser and tall dresser as I buy em as second wife don’t care about it but good condition used dresser and tall dresser . I had broken dresser but good top condition as used mirror with shelf stand on broken dresser if I got good condition used dresser then I use old broken dresser turn into hobby desk plus old broken bed front with shelfs turn into top shelf hold hobby supplies and painting bottles with holder light with scope glass . I had already em last time but unhappy marriage till divorce till few years later , I married second wonderful wife as happy marriage , I explained it to my second wife about myself are hobbyist and skilled artist already but second wife told me about her art crafts as making em , had delayed work on art crafts due our rent place has limited room for them . I explained it to my second wife about my broken old dresser but good top condition used mirror stand on dresser then I planning turn broken old dresser into hobby desk plus old bed front with shelfs into shelfs on hobby desk look good enough after got good top condition as used dresser then I put mirror stand on dresser . We can’t afford buy newer dresser but I looking for good top condition used dresser but avoid badly worn out dressers . I want see more new model kits available at Hobby Lobby stores in central Wisconsin . I planning buy 1/32 scale model kit helicopter during Vietnam War at Hobby Lobby store but more 1/32 scale aircraft model kits , NASA , Star Trek ( I’m big fan of Star Trek ) , more hobby supplies . More artist supplies too . I’m planning buy artist supplies in box as I see them till I has enough money for it then get em . 😊

you have the MUSHA gundam kits at your store???? Well, looks like i need to check my store! we have never had the Musha kits (The SD...the ones that are samurai and look like they are alive instead of machines)

Those orange rubber hobby mats are very nice. Almost nothing stains them. And nothing slips on them either. Highly recommended.

Believe it or not but "Ollies" discount stores do have a small decent selection of models kits for cheap (depending on which one you go to), I have gotten 1/24th scale model kits from there between $13.99-$24.99. I still do like my Hobby lobby stores too!

Thanks for the video, I have seen HobbyLobby mentioned so many times by Americans on modelling sites and chat rooms and now I know that it is like Hobbycraft here in the UK.
I would avoid the Vallejo black primer unless you like spending more time unclogging your airbrush than actual spraying, the grey is ok if you remove your needle cap and scrape the build up away from your needle periodically. The Vallejo German Red Brown primer is great, I can't understand why they don't have consistency across the whole range.

OPM should borrow that idea of stickers on the backs of kits to announce and advertise events!!

looks like the same old stuff they've had for the last few years. They never seem to get anything new in. Not to mention the plastic hobby section keeps shrinking. Hobby Lobby should rename their store to women's decorating crap store.

Nice.....tools seem to be the same, but the organizer mats are new. But I haven't been in hobby lobby in awhile. 😁 😎
