No spoilers, one of the updates is probably easier for new starts to spot, like the trash bear, late game you'd rarely head down that way to spot it. Hopefully you've already come across the "new way" that's open (it wasn't the racoon) but if not you need to have a closer look around, 'cause if you think they wouldn't be cruel enough to hide it behind a tree...you'd be wrong!
108 is the deepest you've been in the Skull Cavern, I know you've died down there but not 108 times.
