Aesthetics? No fucking thanks.
ОтветитьI just realised the paralelism between Al-Fulani's execution, tied up and unarmed; and Al-Asad's death, who also dies executed while tied-up. Main difference is one was done public and the other was more clandestine. Quite an ironic twist of fate on Al-Asad
ОтветитьAesthetics of Max Payne 3 when?
ОтветитьBest video I've ever seen. You perfectly articulated the esoteric subliminal/subconscious reasons of why we feel the way we do about this game. Bravo!
Ответитьthis is so good
ОтветитьImagine watching this after mw 3 2023
ОтветитьIt's a beautiful mess
ОтветитьI found a technical gripe I think I mentally glossed over initially with the G3 reload. No HK slap! H&K itself says you should slap the shit out of the G3 and MP5. Slap that cocking handle like it owes you money. Still, of all the animations to trip on, that's pretty minor. Everything else really is just... good. The discarding of the magazines really stand out to me now that I'm playing through the remaster. Because I'm remembering, and have further been reminded by this video... they didn't used to bother.
Ответитьlove your videos, but maybe leave a breathing break every now and then. your talking is nonstop
ОтветитьThis is the best cod 4 video I’ve ever seen and possibly even in the whole franchise!
Ответить"People who like Eminem" there I just saved you an hour and a half.
ОтветитьLook at the old modern warfare and now the new modern warfares. 2019 was the only good new mw.
ОтветитьYou are stretching it WAY too much. COD has always looked like a fantasy game, no exception for any of their games. I know you love this shit, but tone it down.
ОтветитьBro im glad you brought up metal slug i never find people who play that game!!
ОтветитьAbsolutely terrifying being able to finally put a voice to ashley's character.. it was spot on very well done
ОтветитьCoD 4 for me was me first time playing an Actual PC game that wasn't a flash game and it left a profound effect on me. I Remember it must have been 2013, i used be excited to go to my friends house, because he had cod 4 on mac book. I would play the same missions over and over. The sounds and visuals made me feel like i was playing something truly special, and i was immersed in the world. It was so striking while also being fun that it likely planted planted the seed for my love of fps that persists to this day.
ОтветитьYou should do the aesthetics of mw2 (2009)
ОтветитьIrl Russian nationalists have a more complex relationship with the USSR, theres a large sense of nostalgia for it even with the state atheism and communist ideology. What interests them more is the domination Russians had in the USSR. Not also to mention the relaxing of the state atheism aspect later on in the USSR's history.
Ответитьyour writing is so perfect
ОтветитьAlgorithm, thank you for recommending me this video, this channel has a shockingly good quality.
Ответитьim so glad u covered the reloads. the reloads for cod4 has to be favorites out of all the series. specially theat uzi. oh that uzi. I also really really enjoy the music for this game unironically listening to it a lot more than i should haha.
ОтветитьI remember playing the remaster and seeing this, I dont remember if it was in the original, but on the Coup, at some point a car starts tailing you. After a while of the car following yours an infantry transport has soldiers unload and stop the car behind you. Its crazy cause its so easy to not notice it but it has such big implications. It could have been someone coming to try and rescue you, maybe just seeing where they were taking you or planning on trying to help you escape, or it could have just been some random person driving and following you by mistake, only to be stopped by a dozen armed guards. The subtle world building was kind of crazy for its time, even if that particular moment wasn't in the original it still had plenty of it.
Ответить"What the hell kinda name is 'Soap' eh? How'd a muppet like you pass selection?"
Ответитьyes yes yes
ОтветитьThis content is pivotal. A book with analogous insights I read was a turning point. "The Art of Meaningful Relationships in the 21st Century" by Leo Flint
Ответитьafter playing arma 3 the true aesthetic of modern warfare is fashion. i have fun to choose aesthetically cool uniform and nice weapon than battles
ОтветитьThe part where je jerks the ak with grenade launcher to get the casing out Is a mistake cause those soviet/russian GLs use caseless ammo
ОтветитьYour writing matches or exceeds the quality of the very games you cover. I've loved these videos for years and I will continue to love them for years more.
ОтветитьGod fucking damn this is actually really well made good job 👏 👏👏
ОтветитьThe chapter on movement and motion really resonated with me. I remember playing CoD4 in middle school and being mesmerized by the choreographed movement from the NPCs in the OG MW series. I never got through to doing it but I remember feeling extremely immersed and compelled to be a part of this choreography as much as I could while I played through the campaigns. They really nailed it back then. Timeless classics just like Black Hawk Down, Band of Brothers, etc.
ОтветитьIf u pay atention to the intros, the nuke mission was not saudi arabia (as we saw with the coup, charlie dont surf, abrams and hog), it was in Iraq
ОтветитьI really love how you showcased how the developers made Modern Warfare from its presentation to its details and themes. It makes me miss the older games and how each game was made with time and love.
ОтветитьSaying Russian ultranationalists can't be nostalgic for the soviet union is ironic when you see Russian troops in Ukraine flying flags that combine the Imperial flag and the flag of USSR with Stalin the middle lmao.
ОтветитьIf you don't fuck with some Metal Slug then I don't fuck with you.
ОтветитьThis video makes me appreciate COD4:MW even more. I love your take on Death From Above and All Ghillied Up.
Ответить"to get the shell out"
Never actually noticed that mistake back in the day. GP-25 doesn't use a shell, and in that animation it even has the grenade in it lol
i like how you mistook Safehouse and Heat missions lol
Other than that this is such a great video and it makes me realize why I love the first Modern Warfare so much
Great video but you seriously need to have a little bit less of a reliance on AI for your scripts. It just throws me off sometimes because there very clearly copy and pasted. Asking chatgpt to compare dishonored and far cry to modern warfare (aesthetically) Gave me essentially the same exact comparison you made WORD FOR WORD I just know people hate ai so it’s a tip you can look over or think about. Great video!
Ответитьbro say less please
i do a shot every time you say 'dark'
Ultranationalists are loterally nazbols
ОтветитьThe thing I find really fascinating about IW Cod games is how the story isn't told to you like Black Ops, but you just witness it, and this leaves a lot of room to make your own ideas about the games, some people call it just a mindless shooter, some call it imperialist propaganda, and some see it as an authentic and poetic representation of War with an anti war spark that some people missed.
ОтветитьI come back to your channel and videos often due to the unique and masterful presentation of thesis in English. Thank you so much for the very high quality of content.
