Respect to the American Navy.. By a friend from Tanzania.. I always watch US Navy's videos.. So cool
ОтветитьGoing into the AECF program which is ET and FC (Electronics Technician/Fire Controlman). I'm excited!!
ОтветитьNew ET here!
ОтветитьProud ET right here!
ОтветитьSee everyone in Great Lakes 👍
ОтветитьI'd disagree that you guys get the most technical training, 2M techs maybe but beyond that a CIWS FC knows a hell of alot more.
ОтветитьSounds accurate. You really don't understand what you're supposed to be doing a lot of the time like the guy said. They kinda call you up and say "This broke, you need to fix it" and sometimes it's stuff you didn't get training on.
ОтветитьDo u have to be enlisted or can u be an ET as an Officer?
ОтветитьI’m a rising junior in high school and I’m interested in being and ET what do you recommend that I do to prepare myself for the job
ОтветитьFormer Navy ET.
Boot in FLA in Aug of 88 and schooling (A and C) until May of 1990. I still made E-5 in less than 3 years. I was able to move up fast because I was well trained.
After reporting to my ship, they soon sent me back to attend AN/SPA-25G C school in Oct of 1990 at the 32nd St annex ET C “school house”.
As I remember it, that SPA was constantly over heating because it didn’t have an exhaust fan.
While in the gulf (the A/C wasn’t the best) I had to open it up almost every day to let heat out.
It frequently would flake out due to overheating and one of the CIC guys would wake me up at 3 am.
Good times!
I am just now hearing this, I'm the "narrator" in this video 😂
ОтветитьFormer ET here, 1980 to 1986. Got out as an ET1(SW). Looks like a lot of new stuff out there but I think I could still teach these folks some soldering skills! LOL 40+ years later and I still use and teach folks the US Navy 6 step troubleshooting method.
ОтветитьGoing in as an aefc in april. How do you pick fc or et
ОтветитьThe key rule of thumb with electronics: Always keep the smoke on the inside.
I worked industrial environments - PLC's / freq.drives 3 ph /old school relay logic / hydraulics - up to 1,000 ton presses - directional valves - accumulators - etc / extruder - 400+ up motor controls / everything pneumatic / chillers - water treatment/maintenance / tons of mechanical stuff - welding etc - structural analysis.....product development (molded plastics). Worked on "turn key start ups" (A real joke of a term). Now retired....doing self-employed work as a handyman (repairing lots of cars tho! b'cuz of electronics).
Maybe I should've joined Navy?
Go Navy....good career 😜👍
Anyone leaving in Aug?
ОтветитьDo ET's get to phone home often?
ОтветитьETV >>>>>
ОтветитьGoing to Basic Training as AECF (et and fc) in 10 days wish me Luck!
ОтветитьWoooow.. that so amazing...
ОтветитьGoing to nuke school, hopefully I get to become an ET 👍👍
ОтветитьEverything Technician. SPA-25 Golf. I wish! I worked on the SPA-25 Charlie. My oldest piece of gear was an SRN-6 TACAN. My favorite piece of gear was the Collins R-390. Best rig ever. I believe it was the R-2368 replacing the R-1051. The AN/WSC-3 was a good rig. Not enough power. Hope they fixed that.
ОтветитьHow important is electronics in modern warfare?
ОтветитьIm an msc graduate in electronics. Im confused about my career. I don't know which course i should choose after this.. whould you help me .??
ОтветитьGoing to basic then A school for this exact grade OHHYEAH NAVY
ОтветитьHi! Thanks For this channel.
Please help! How to dismantle radio on mini portable cd player? The cd player powered is by double AA batteries. Im super curious. Thanks
Im off to boot camp tomorrow, then A school for ET. This made me want to push myself harder.
ОтветитьThats my boy right there lmao
ОтветитьSo does the Navy teach you how to fix and repair all of these electronics?
ОтветитьWhat score is needed to get this job ?
ОтветитьITs make money when they get out of the Navy. ETs dont.
ОтветитьYou know FC is the better rate;)
ОтветитьWill this help a person transition as an electrician in the civilian world?
Ответитьas a former Navy ET2 (SW) boot camp Orlando 93... A school was in Orlando... C school training in San Diego (x3) fiber optic technician, 2m repair, and EHF specialist..first duty station was Pearl Harbor... I can say I loved my Naval career... great video
ОтветитьCurrent ETN3 here. Can't wait for the fleet. 👍🏻
ОтветитьWouldn’t mind doing this for 20 years.
ОтветитьMade ET2 in a little under 4 years !! It’s been real
ОтветитьJust signed my contract today for AECF I hope I get ET 🤞
Ответитьquiero postular , para esa especialidad
ОтветитьExcelente
ОтветитьBasic Electricity and Electronics 1978, San Diego NTC. ET-A school early 1979, Great Lakes, Illinois.
NAVMACS C School back in San Diego. First ship Pearl Harbor 1980.
Veteran now.
What a ride!
I'd do it all over again!
My ET training and experience, 1971 - 77, gave me a leg up to pass the exams and meet the qualifications to eventually become an Electronics Tech for the US Postal Service. Pays well.
ОтветитьJoining the US Navy was the best decision I ever made. USS Shiloh 99'-04' ET3. Choose your rate, choose your fate!
Ответить"You get pulled out of your rack at two in the morning"
Correction: The ET1 who is the only person with that system's NEC on board and is the only person who knows anything about that system beyond PMS gets told about their system being down at two in the morning, and they try to troubleshoot it from memory by telling the ESS what to do and then they have to keep going back to their rack every 10 minutes asking for a new idea before CSOOW finally gets sick of TAO hassling them about it and tells you that ET1 better get his butt up and fix his own frickin' system instead of using the watch ET as a surrogate because he's too lazy to get out of his rack.
Definitely not anecdotal, just a theoretical situation haha
M son is a ET
Ответитьlol, Swann cameras!
ОтветитьAwesome!
