How to negotiate a lower cable bill

Cable is slowly dying, the only people I know that have cable now are my grandparents. Literally everyone I know just streams. It is a better service because you can pay for certain shows seperately opposed to channels. Or just stream free although it is illigal.

It is a luxury service if you can't afford it you shouldn't have it.. i had a lady tell me she can't pay her eye surgery because she has to pay her bill... i flat out told her pay for your surgery that is a necessity cable isn't

I followed the advice given and had no luck in lowering my bill. I am in good standing and have had my account for 4 years. I cancelled my service which will save me around $165 each month so I’m glad this advice didn’t work for me... and yet, it really did in a different way - even better! Thanks!

it does not work sure they can lower it but you cant unbundle a bundle totally. meaning if you had triple play and want to get rid of one device like phone you pay more for the other services. the best way to get the cheapest price all the time is constantly leaving and getting the new deals for new customers at other cable companies. if your a current customer you NEVER get the lowest price. they said I would be paying 110 a month for internet if I got rid of cable and phone. they take into account you had triple play. but either way just go back and forth between two cable companies every year. this will ensure you get the lowest prices. I knew a guy who did it every year. keep having that install man come to your home .

BOTTON LINE: Regardless of what provider YOU use NEVER bundle everything together! Keep your cable one company. Keep your internet another company. Keep your phone another company.
NEVER let them make a sale just because they are gonna bundle it all together and you'll get this great price with this "bundle deal".

EVEN if you get your bill LOWERED your gonna continue to make these phone calls every 3-6 months. Now tell me.....doesn't that sound exciting? Its the only thing worse than the DMV office....

I does not. I worked for a number of years for American companies, in customer service and we never ever had special prices. ;/
