How to Restart the Tesla Model 3

How long did you have to wait to have just the screen booting on, and how long does it take the whole car to restart?

Several Tesla reps have confirmed that the holding the brake pedal is not necessary. They tell you to do it for safety reasons, but it doesn't affect the reboot.

The two resets shown in the video are the same. There is no difference whether you are pressing the brakes or not. Pressing the scroll wheels without the brake is listed in the manual as "Restarting the Touchscreen". Doing it WITH the brake is not mentioned at all. The hardest reset a consumer can do is the Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off, which is the same as letting the car sit in
Park for 15 minutes. There is another process where you disconnect the battery, but that is something not recommended for most folks to do

Very helpful, thanks! My car was driving but screen obviously didn't work: didn't load driver profile, airconditioning was off, heated seats were on, didn't show if blinkers were on. Was a rather uncomfortable drive... After the reset all worked fine again.

My ultrasonic sensors are not communicating while on FSD on my model 3. Do you think this reset would work or would you recommend getting ahold of tesla technician

Quick video, answer all questions, and no extra topic talk 10/10 video. I hate some people make 10 min video just for 30 sec tip, just so they can put in adds.

Model 3 long rwd showing less 100% range , was 310 first, jump down to 304, 300, now 297 to 295. Was just setting changing limit, but check full charge limit just for information saw it decreasing, from 304 to 295 in 1week. Why is that does that mean my battery is degrading quickly after supercharging.
