Everyone says they want ala carte. Many of the channels you've mentioned are doing that. Same people that complain about wanting ala carte will complain that their wishes are coming true in the form of higher tiers or stand alone addons.

The majority of what they carry are what I call "garbage channels" that very few people actuality watch.

In case you have not heard, Philo is forcing everybody to pay the new higher rate which I think is adding four dollars a month to their subscription to folks that have third-party billing. They still are offering you to have the legacy rate if you sign up to be billed directly through Philo just wanted to let you know I got the message on Friday

MTV still has long blocks of “Ridiculousness”, not “Friends”, because “Friends” is on TBS and Nick at Nite.

I bet viewers thru Ola tv ( not currently working) don’t count that watch any cable channels for ratings including National Geographic Wild but I wish they were counted too!I really do!

Hallmark Mystery and Hallmark Family. During National Mystery Month (May) Hallmark isn't even airing 1 new mystery movie on Hallmark Mystery. The last time Hallmark Mystery asked a new movie was March 13 even though the head of the network says she envisions Hallmark Mystery as an American version of Acorn TV. Acorn TV is airing multiple new mystery shows during National Mystery Month. With Hallmark Family, formerly Hallmark Drama I never saw the point. At best it would only have new content if Hallmark simulcasted a movie across Hallmark, Hallmark Mystery and Hallmark Family. With how little new content if any Hallmark puts out on the other 2 networks they could save money by shutting down both Mystery and Family and having the content on Hallmark+ and/or have a certain night for Mystery movies to premiere like they do for their regular movies on Saturday nights.

I don't like Paying for cable TeleVision.

OTOH we might see 'new' Channels come up - Server, Storage, Distribution costs for each TB go down continuously, and a Channel 'upkeep' could easily/cheaply be done AI assisted

On a different tangent, Spectrum has added the local and some secondary OTAA channels BACK on their basic channel lineup.
We got them taken away back in 2023 and now they are back. Can you check on this and get back to us on why?????

Pure economics. Cable networks only exist if cable providers have customer willing to pay for the network. If the trend is to cut the corf, cable providers aren't going to carry the channels. See Spectrum negotiation with Disney. Cord cutting will lead to traditional cable networks extinction.

Paying for TV is no longer needed....they should go to over the Air TV....we have enough channels for them to be on....or Free Streaming... from their website.....MTV is the one to go first....USA and TBS....CNN and MSNBC....none of these are worth anything...on top of that...
