White is the timeline for the "Tree of Life" concept and the common terminologies we hear about when people describe the Kabbalah? Is there evidence that any of these concepts pre-date the historical persons of the New Testament story?

It seems many here have had OBE and NDE experiences. I'm also one of them, and around that time period the Book of John took on a lot more meaning, but I found that when I described my thoughts to others they couldn't grasp what I was saying. To them I guess it was as if I had gotten drunk and hallucinated, but to me it was/is 1000 times more real or beautiful than anything in ordinary life. I have not had to doubt or fear death in the slightest since then. When my parents passed on I worried that it would be difficult but I found myself to have unlimited faith that our love for one another will reach a fruition.

I noticed even in the passage you quoted where Jesus talked about denying self you left off the part about picking up your cross and following him. Most every time Jesus says I am, like in this verse, he is using them both. In other words he is saying I am, I am. Now where have we heard that before?

Am I going to believe you or the Holy bible? I can understand and resonate with most of what you are saying but to say that Jesus wasn’t born of a virgin is saying that the Bible is unreliable. Man you talking from my mind...lol...this is how i see the jesus teachings and sayings. But i call myself christian - i did not know its not even christianity because i always thought this is the exact meaning of it...yet you are saying you had to leave christianity behind to get to this, so, was i mistaken all the way? If i was able to pick it up right away, while believing i am christian, how anyone would know the other christians cannot comprehend it? Why someone has to leave christianity behind to truly understand jesus? Priest say as they will - or rather what they told to say for they are bound by their institution but i believe many folks understand it just instinctively (because its so obvious!). But those ones are not zealous and not bigots and shouting about jesus, nor halleluya-ing and amen-ing all the time and not telling anyone you will go to hell...they are just normal. The zealots calling them lukewarms. I think these so-called lukewarms might having a lot deeper faith. Just they wont keep bragging about it everywhere loud...lol

Through life experiences and spiritual practices like meditation and reading the bible I've come to the same conclusions as you.
