Enchanting Jaffa: Stroll through Abrasha Park to the Wishing Bridge

Today, I invite you to embark on a magical journey through one of the most picturesque corners of Jaffa-Tel Aviv. My route leads to the Wishing Bridge, located in this captivating urban park, also known as 'Gan Ha-Pisga' or Abrasha Park.

This remarkable park was created through the tireless efforts of the deputy mayor of Jaffa and the director of the Jaffa Development Society, Avraham Shechterman, in the 1970s. In recognition of his contributions, the park was renamed Abrasha Park after his passing. The entire area is adorned with date palm trees and picturesque southern plants, creating a delightful atmosphere.

As you stroll along the neatly laid-out alley, you'll ascend to the summit of Joyful Hill, offering breathtaking panoramas of the Mediterranean Sea and the city. At the hill's peak, you'll find the Gates of Faith – an impressive four-meter sculpture in the modern style, depicting historical events of the Jewish people.

An unusual place for making wishes is the Vera Arch. Here, facing the monument, close your eyes, make a wish, and as you touch the sculpture, you'll feel the magic of the place. Raise your palms, take a step forward, and touch the sculpture – your wish is sure to come true.

And for those who love making wishes against the backdrop of the sea breeze, the Wishing Bridge is the perfect spot. Bronze symbols of the Zodiac signs on the bridge's railings create an atmosphere of enchantment. Find your sign, touch it, and make a wish while gazing at the endless blue of the sea.
