Muslim is never a peaceful religion and that's a fact! I live with alot of muslim when they felt threatened or get jealous they will kill you with their people. I heard alot of true story In my town when I was a kid of killings.

As someone who is familiar with living there, this incident either stems from one of two things... Jealousy from gf's ex or from a brazen non-muslim ways (disrespect) - he was involved in a 5/6 lending scheme. That said, SW Mindanao is a hotbed for muslim extremists and uprisings and he should have heeded the warnings.
