Nice video! This is one of the original cars (#004) right?
ОтветитьWhats under the hood of this vette?
ОтветитьWow, over 50 years old and still such a rocket
ОтветитьNow THATS a car vid!! And I'm not religious but OMFG this has to be one of the bad ass, horniest cars E V E R made! Massive thankyou for uploading this!
ОтветитьEnjoyed that very much!
ОтветитьGrand Sport Corvette chassis #004 livery #3. Yes I did enjoy this video.
ОтветитьThis !963 Corvette Grand Sport can be seen at the Rev's Museum in Naples Florida. I am honored to be a Docent at the Museum. Come see this car and over a hundred more from 21896 to 1995. Rated as one of the top 5 museums in the world.
ОтветитьThat's a lot of angry power..
Ответитьnice view of the corkscrew
ОтветитьOwning a C-3 with about the same power and a lot more weight I can imagine how terrifying that thing is to drive!
ОтветитьTruly the culmination of ZORA's dream for the Vette... unfortunately the Nassau Speed week publicity shed too much light given half of the GM Engineers were suspiciously in Nassau on "vacation" during the races when GM had a ban on support of all automotive racing.
ОтветитьI saw that grand sport at the revs institute about a month ago while doing a tour. Amazing machine
Ответитьthere is that sound again , the zora arkus-duntov sound ....close to the shelby sound but no cigar ( just kidding ) i love them all god damn it ...if if wasn't for zora there would not have been any game on for shelby ..except henry's obsession to out motor that poor old italian by the name of enzo , a perfect 3 wide coming out of a turn all together = stingray + cobra + 308 GT4 bahahah ya see? it's all good
ОтветитьThat thing is lot quicker than I thought it would be.
ОтветитьNice video showing how fast a cobra is.
ОтветитьOh, I thought this was the start of a Steve McQueen movie. Lol
No ABS, No traction control, No auto blip.
Just raw violence.
The Corvette grand sport ..what a car..what an engine. Isn't this the car that finally beat the cobras?
ОтветитьA great pity GM did not build 100 of these for the FIA GT Championship of the era.
Ferrari would only lay down 39 GTO's
Winning 1963 and 1964 GT...
Whether ether car could have won Le Mans is Moot
Ford designed the GT-40 to do BOTH!
Took 3 years and $Millions
On of the great might have beens...
I was lucky to see Roger drive one a Sebring. 1964
Racing with the Prototypes and Cobra Coupes..
Then the 427 Penske SunocoTarga Roadster of 1966
STILL a force to be reckoned with....
Wheelies out of The Hairpin!
Drafting Mk.II Fords and the 330P3
190+ mph...
J.C.
Great drive and the spin was exciting !
ОтветитьThat car is an ANIMAL!! The skill needed to drive the Grand Sport at these speeds must be incredible!
ОтветитьOnly thing disappointing about this vid is that there are some really dumb ass pedestrians who don't know when to get out of the way. You hear a loud ass racing car moving toward you, get out of the way!
ОтветитьGoddamn he started letting it eat after that spin out
ОтветитьThis driver beat a Aston Martin V12 Vantage in terms of lap time or a Porsche Cayman R
ОтветитьThat Vette has an angry, raging tiger under the hood and needs a driver of Jim Clarck's calibre to do it justice.
ОтветитьEl motor está bien chingon
ОтветитьCarrera epica
ОтветитьCars such as this make me proud to be an American!
ОтветитьMy brother joe Dvorchak built John Greenwood race cars bfg cars
ОтветитьFolks don’t realize that the Grand Sports were not modified production cars. They were purpose built factory race cars that didn’t share much of anything with the production cars; even the fiberglass body panels were on the order of 1/2 as thick to reduce weight. Only 5 of the 100 planned were built before GM brass pulled the plug and thankfully all 5 are still with us today. Their Le Mans story is pretty epic...
ОтветитьBecause of the lag in the motor, you need accelerate quicker out of those turns.
Ответитьsuch a pleasure to watch this glorious car.
I’ll be racing the c2 GS too next week … ahh …but sim racing assetto corsa :)
Always good to see a classic race car on the track instead of gathering dust in a museum. I understand that the driver is taking it easy, but he could be using more of the road and not early apexing. Shallow corner entry was the cause of the spin.
Ответитьdude!
ОтветитьNice old cars, but this ain't Goodwood.
