Hello again! I have a question about this topic: on one of my servers I cannot find the *.bat file anywhere around. I have searched for it but I have only found out the *.cfg files and the internal configuration interface (the web interface), no sign of any *.bat file. I tried to search for it via FTP with no success. The other server allows me to schedule a daily restart and that's nice but the second one seems not to "digest" this thing.
Have you ran into this kind of thing? And if so, how did you solve it?
I hope I made myself clear enough... :-)

Is there a reason "+rcon.web 1" is in the file 2 times, and i missed something somewhere, or was that just a typo from modifying the file so much? :)

whats this look like in ubuntu server bash script? i haven't figured out how to use a startup in it yet if i reboot the computer..second i should remove nohup (echo off or into file) so i still have a command line? just the linux comandline

Hey Bull, I have a server that crashed because of the easter egg event. Seems like something just failed and there was an error message on the screen, unfortuntaly I didnt save a copy of the message. I also have this code in my batch, but it didn't restart. No amount of clicking in the terminal window or hitting enter made any difference. I had to close the terminal and restart the batch file manually.

I have a windows dedicated machine that I have with a hosting company and have the black terminal window which shows server status, etc. My question is this type of crash obviously won't be fixed by this solution, is there something that can force a reboot of the box, say using RCON. I have a BattleMetrics account that alerts on outages, maybe you can link it to something like that?

Any input appreciated as I have to have downtime minimised as it is ruining my pop.

i'm working on my server seems to work. i still cant see it in the server list but everyone else can friends and randoms. (i can still see other servers besides my own) is it a firewall issue i did port forwarding correctly.

Do you have a video about setting up daily auto reset with in game notifications? My server keeps locking up until i close and restart it but i can figure out how to auto restart. I thought timed events maybe?

Thank you! I was somehow doing this all wrong with my server host. They had an option for scheduled restart and that always had a roll back and no count down. Realized I should use the rcon command after this video and it works perfectly.

how can I save my buildings and my map. I don't want any WIPE on my local server. is there a command?

yo srtbull i have a problem with my bat file so i wanted to make a server on rust so i tried using your video it all went good till i couldn't join my server so the next day i wanted to try again but i wanted to make a different server so i made a different bat fille and deleted the old one but now i joint my old server and don't have the bat file so without the file i can't make changes so i tried joining my other server my new one and if i try to join that one i join my old server so i whant to know how i can change my old server again?? pls help me

Oh, and I just realised I had the :start in the wrong place. It was before the steamcmd game update bit, so it always closed command prompt instead of looping back to restart RustDedicated.exe.

Trap for new players when you have multiple applications being run separately in the same batch file. Since steamcmd.exe was already closed beforehand, it will simply close command prompt instead of looping back to reopen RustDedicated.exe. When the :start is before steamcmd.exe, it looks to see if steamcmd.exe is open. If it isn't, it just exits.

1. You only need "@echo off" and ":start" at the beginning and "goto start" at the end.

hey sorry, ive been messaging you alot today but ive noticed in the GuIAnnouncement plugin it as a built in restart system, I just want to know hpw i can stop this console restart system so that my server only restarts from the plugin. also i dont think you have done a video for the above plugin, that would be a good video as a request to do

Love all the videos you have made! Is there a video that discusses a plugin or schedule creation for hosts like IcedHost using Pterodactyl that sets up a scheduled restart with a pre-restart save and count down timer, or plugin for that function? I tried a couple older ones, but they don't seem to function properly (could be user error of course).

Maybe ive missed it but do you have a video not to fix the problem of hosted server threw company on restart the teams are wipe?

Does restarting your server this way stop the issue of groups/teams being deleted after reboot? Every time server restarts folks need to reform their teams.

Im dumb I tried this awhile ago and was like ok good joke. It just auto restart with out restarting ever, super FAST. so in a few sec I was opening like 50 servers consoles. But looking back at your coding compared to mine I needed to remove start infront of the rustdedicated.exe. Oh im a silly Dilly, It was almost just a copy and paste lol

If I have a active server already can I add another monument like large oil rig and would it restart all my progress?
