Beautiful car stunning scenery
Vdub:)
In the southeast US, we have a very popular and fun road known as the Tail of the Dragon - it's a long, winding mountain road.
As fun as it is, there are plenty of other winding roads that are just as fun, if not more, and since they're not as well known, they're not crowded like the Tail of the Dragon.
just awesome, and that car, love it (and... red is my favorite color :D)
ОтветитьDrove this road 2 days ago in my A110, and can only agree it’s awesome 🙌
ОтветитьI drove the Red Rock Road in June on a very hot day but unfortunately I was suffering from heat stoke and felt most unwell so really did not enjoy the drive
ОтветитьA red Porsche in Europe. Can't beat that.
ОтветитьBrilliant video Andrew. Some great roads that looked a load of fun in the GT4!
Ответитьnice!
ОтветитьI really like your practical perspective in terms of letting perspective drivers know about whether they need cards or cash and the hotels available up in those mountains. I would love to do a trip similar to this one but convincing my better half would be the main hurdle lol. Great video, thanks a lot. Hope Mrs. Volkwizard enjoyed it too.
ОтветитьLovely video...beautiful car.
ОтветитьFlat 6 music on that road - great footage and thanks for sharing this gem of a road plus practical touring tips 🎯🏎🤩
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI see on my configurator that the 718 is no longer at end if September
ОтветитьGreat content as always 👍
ОтветитьAmazing area (the Var), the M97 is definitely on the 'to do list'.
Great video featuring your GT4; a car that stands alone at its price point.
Absolutely awesome Andrew, I’d love to take my Mk5 Supra on the Red Rock Road and explore the area! I’m also based in the UK. Thank you for the video, amazing.
ОтветитьThanks for the tip, I’m headed in that area next week and just added that to the itinerary. Could I get your thoughts on the cylinder deactivation on the GT4? Came to mind because you mentioned turning it off. Opinions as far as I’ve read are split. Would you think they’re potentially problematic for the longevity of the engine? Thanks!
ОтветитьThats a Great Road but car sound is poor
ОтветитьGreat video ! And excellent driving roads. The whole region is a driver heaven. If anyone is looking for a road closer to Nice, the Col de Vence is an excellent option. I have a GT4 as well, and it is the perfect tool for these types of roads !
ОтветитьLove that engine sound and auto blip!
ОтветитьSuperb video & great car. Can I ask, did you ever consider buying a 718 Spyder? And what made you actually decide on the GT4 rather than the Spyder? Many thanks 👍🏼
ОтветитьSuperb vid Andrew. I am presently in the south of France. Did I understand correctly the RN 97 is the road to enjoy? I am in ST Raphael so would love to drive it. Or is the drive from Isola 2000 to Nice the road to take? Any info would be great. Many thanks. 🙏
ОтветитьDid this last year in my 981 Cayman GTS. Epic road. However, you missed some good roads getting to it. Should ha e turned right on the D28 up to Beuil. Left to Valberg and down some mega roads to the top of the D2202. Tunnels all the way down North to South. But you'd go up and down anyway. Glad you liked it. I loved it.
ОтветитьThat was excellent Andrew. I’ll be dipping into it next year to follow some of those roads. If you’d like some other great roads and are getting closer to Nice, I would recommend the Col
De Braus from Sospel. Excellent hairpins all the way down. And of course you can do the Turini from Sospel, descend to L’Escarene and come
back up the Braus’s hairpins to Sospel.
Hi
Im driving down to Imola for the WEC late April 25 from the UK. Looking at the big popular mountain passes they will most likely still be closed then , can you recommend any epic roads/routes with switchbacks etc? Ill be in my 718 GTS 4.0 😊
Great road but depending on time other traffic can be problematic, recommend you should try Pyrenees N260….watch out for cows though 😮. Best tunnel (for sound) has to be Susten pass.
ОтветитьI live in Menton and have a 964, so love that road even if Route Napoleon, Greolieres and surrounds are more flowing and fast. At the top of your road the col de la Cayolle is a bit bumpy for fast cars but check out Col Des Champs east side, it is absolutely stunning to cycle or drive
ОтветитьGreat car, great roads and great video. Thanks so much for sharing. It took me 7k miles (in 6 months) to bond with my 718 spyder too. I have a few mates who don't do road trips and after 1k miles in 6 months or so sold their 718 GT4 / Spyder. They are slow burners but once they click I think all the doubts go. I've done most of those roads but not red rock, it keeps evading me, next time. Great hotel too, considering I've been paying €30 for parking and €25 for breafast (each) in most hotels we stayed in France / Italy this year, €170 all in is good value. Clamp those valves open and keep up the good work 👏🏻 PS loved the straw hat flopping from side to side 😂
