Having worn both modern combat gear and (recreated) medieval armor, yes, the old nights were lighter. That being said, the modern stuff allows for significantly more mobility, counterintuitively

It also comes from war where knights, to counter the adverse archery, decided to double the reinforcement of the armor, too bad the terrain was muddy so they've just slowly got killed by thousands of arrows...

I know I'm super late but the troops do turn into the elixir that's used for leveling up troops leading to a sacrifice theory and the dark troops power the heroes
Therefore clash of clans uses human sacrifice for the kingdom's benefit

The armor are actually very thick which i think increases the weight

Actually when you upgrade the troops in the lab they get more armor

That all makes sense until you realize the troops in Clash of Clans are all literally made up by pink goo.
