This is the first time I've ever seen a cop use an appropriate glass breaking tool. Every officer I've ever seen spends 30 seconds trying to break glass with his expandable baton. This office had a center punch. It's amazing how well things work when you use the appropriate tool for the job.

I'm sorry if i'm looking at this through the eyes of an infantryman, but have these cops ever practiced individual movements techniques (IMT) like cover and move, flanking, or using terrain and cover to close the distance? That dude could have taken one of their squads and took off again why they were dithering over there behind those steel girders 200 meters away waiting for backup that seemingly took forever to get there. These guys need more tactical training. Just my 2 cents.

This is way far south of Chicago literally in Indiana.. why is CPD policing in Hammond Indiana? Either way, that guy clearly wanted to die. You can hear him say shoot me as he's running up on the officer. Also instead of letting him get in the car, why didn't they just stop him right when he walked outside??
