Thank you Brendan for breaking this all down for us. I hope I am able to utilize my miles on a future flight on Singapore Airlines. I flew Singapore Airlines the last time I flew home, and it was amazing even though I flew economy. SIA knows how to pamper their passengers so I can see how much they pamper their first-class passengers. And thank you to Kara and Nate for featuring their trip from London in these amazing suites. 😍
ОтветитьThis is beautiful! Thank you for sharing this info. I noticed on the transfer partner cheat sheet you show transfer timing for each program. If the transfer time isn’t instant, there is a risk that while waiting the award space could get booked by someone else, right? If so, that makes me nervous. 😬 Thanks again!
ОтветитьGood luck for the future
ОтветитьDo these rewards work from credit cards in Europe as I haven't heard of any of these card before?
ОтветитьJust booked out first BC ticket from LAX to Paris. Only by using points that i got for my amex refferal. 0 spending!
Ответить👍🏻😎🌞🌺🍀
ОтветитьGreat video!! Thank you. Is it possible to split a flight booking with paying some and also using points? My partner has his economy flights covered by work but wants to use his points to upgrade.
ОтветитьHey Kara
ОтветитьHey Nate
ОтветитьKrisflyer miles dont always transfer instantly. Especially from amex. Call them first to put the award flight on hold
ОтветитьSo, it seems like many of the Daily Drop videos are based on CHASE points - the credit cards of which are not available in Canada, as far as I know (though Aeroplan points are a part of the Air Alliance conglomerate) so many of these videos and tips don't seem to apply to us Canadians...??
ОтветитьI would be interested in going to Sydney. Does the A380 leave directly from LA to AU? Or it may be Las Vegas. Some friends of mine did it a few years ago
ОтветитьSo do you have to pay off the balance in order to get the points ??
ОтветитьExactly. These “free flights” are all based on signup bonuses OR 6+ figures of annual spending on your card. No discussion of how much $ spend you need on most of these cards to afford these mileage reward tickets if it weren’t for the signup bonuses. Because at that rate you are better off just spending the 9k$ on the ticket itself.
ОтветитьYou mentioned your cheat cheat , was that in one of the emails so we can see it .
ОтветитьUseless video - for every experience recommended on this channel, you'll sign-up a new credit card? Why don't you tell how much a person needs to spend in a year to get these many points? Goodluck to your credit score mate.
Ответить"Smooth Flying", hahaha
ОтветитьShame that this strategy is more effective in the States where it seems like you can just sign up for many different credit cards at different times. That wouldn’t work in Australia as our credit laws are pretty strict, and every credit card is subject to a credit, income and expenses check.
ОтветитьWe are planning a Europe tour for 2 monthss & my most significant expense Is Stay, who can I bring it down????? I am looking hostel & Airbnb (No Hotels).
ОтветитьWhat is the deal with Saver vs Advantage??? Other than Saver needs fewer points. How do I know which plan I have?
ОтветитьTo get deals like you show is hard if you don’t travel a lot.
ОтветитьLoL it's not zero dollars because you had to spend a shi ton of money to get the points.
It's better to say I spend a lot of money on other things which got me the transfer points which made this flight free. The title makes it seem like boom anybody can do this.
ohhhh i subbed to see more Kara & Nate, who's this dude 👀
ОтветитьIs it just me or does the video pic look like Nate is about to slap Kara’s ass?!😂
ОтветитьYou failed to mention that the booking is “waitlisted” and not confirmed
ОтветитьGreat video! I'm curious though, what do you do with the credit card after you've earned the bonus miles? I've noticed many of these credit cards have an annual fee and it just doesn't make sense for me to have lots of credit cards for my regular expenses. Do you cancel the card right away? Does that hurt your credit score?
ОтветитьWhat new car are you buying for $18k in America??
Ответить$0? What about the taxes and fees? LHR-SIN was about $300. But, yeah, still a pretty good deal!
ОтветитьGood for y’all. I hope to be able to be points king someday like Nate. I follow the website as well.
ОтветитьMILE HIGH CLUB
ОтветитьSo awesome! Thank you Kara n Nate for your wonclerful vicleo. heers!
ОтветитьOne minor thing - I haven't ever seen the A380 tickets (ie the suite the guys flew, not the 777 first class) available with a 'saver' ticket - it's only ever 'advantage' which will drastically skew the quoted cents-per-point value... To be fair, I've only looked at the SIN-LHR route!
ОтветитьDefinitely on my bucket list, as well as Qsuites, and Lufthansa First on 747. I'm flying Emirates First on the A380 this fall I can't wait.
ОтветитьA couple things stand out to me about this video. You are choosing the absolute cheapest day for point redemption (in 2024), then choosing the most expensive cash flight (near term) to calculate the redemption value - which you say is 6cents .. so a bit misleading. Additionally, you reference a "$20,000 first class seat". This was calculated on 2 passengers flying, not on a per seat basis. At no point throughout the course of this video was it shown how points were redeemed for $20,000 worth of cash tickets. Oversensationalized.
ОтветитьLet’s say you’re trying to book a trip to Ireland from Las Vegas, and that would most likely happen through Aer Lingus..? Would it be the same process? Find the reward flight in Aer Lingus, transfer points, redeem points?
ОтветитьGreat video Brendan! Just a small question; on the video recording of the screen of the flight from Hong Kong to Singapore I saw ‘the price listed’ as 45.000 miles + 345HKD. Does that mean you still always need to pay a small amount on top of those miles? 🙏☺️
ОтветитьI've never seen this actually happen. Every time I've looked by points, it would be a 1:1 equivalent--for example, if the list price of a flight is $100 (cash), the miles required would always be around 10,000 miles as mileage equivalent. Honestly the information presented does not present anything credible to what I've seen trying to do the same thing, and I've flown a lot.
ОтветитьWoahhhhhh 😮😮
ОтветитьKara and Nate are cool but they really became luxury backpackers! Everything the finest and most expensive! But yeah he’ll lot of fun watch it.
ОтветитьGoals ❤❤❤
ОтветитьIt was not FREE! How about the taxes (Likely about $400)? How about the value of the frequent flyer miles which could be used to rent a car or stay in a hotel.
You are misleading your viewers by saying you can travel for free using frequent flyer miles for international trips!
Hi There! Is it possible to use points from various sources (combine them) to equal the total amount for a flight? For example, I may have 40k points from Amex, 60k points from Chase, and 50k points from Cap 1. Can I combine them in order to come up with the grand total I may need for one trip? Thanks for the great tips!
ОтветитьThank you all once again
ОтветитьLove the content! However, just a qq: just checked my amex and found out that the transfer to Singapore A is not 1:1 but rather 3:2? Are there any regional (I live in Europe) or card-related (Amex gold, platinum etc) differences regarding the miles/points transfer? Thx and keep up the great work
ОтветитьWhat are the taxes and fees cost?
ОтветитьThank you from Singapore!
ОтветитьThere's no audio 😢
