What's always bugged is when Rindo-senpai said if Eizan got serious, he could take some of the seats of the other 10. Who would those people be? I don't see him beating any of the 3rd years & Nene is the best in her class, which he is in and Erina is a lower rank than him.

As a second year, Soma beats the seventh, sixth, and third seats in singles, and the second and first seat in doubles. And then beats possibly one of the best chefs on the planet a year later in the most prestigious junior cooking competition in Japan in the series using his mom's fried rice idea (his mom can't cook well). If this isn't an overpowered shounen anime, I don't know what is.
