Im joining the union as a 3rd year apprentice. Im worried about layoffs. Have you had any issues with that? And do they offer overtime?

Im trying to get into the local here in PA, my sisters husband is in charge of the apprentices or something like that. I really need this opportunity, mainly because up to this point ive fucked my life up😂 evenThough i really need it, i was nervous when she mentioned it mainly because i don't know shit and like you i have zero experience with the trades.
