Thats a great team losing to an up and coming great team. A little tighter in the defence and the Sabres will be like the Bruins.

A gritty performance by Buffalo, outshot but not outplayed. Boston has the best record thus far and have defended their home ice extremely well this year, making this road victory by the Sabres all the more impressive! I'm an Islanders fan and they took the Bruins to overtime on their home ice but lost. The Isles are competitive but certainly not built for a Stanley cup run like these two teams. This is great hockey no matter who your team is.

STUPID Bruins coach, Swayman SUCKS, WHY would he put Swayman in when he knows Swayman loses a lot of games and a record is on the line?? You can tell the coach I said this, REALY STUPID ON HIS PART

Its actually insane they missed too many men on that Marchand breakaway. His replacement wasn't even close to off the ice when he got the pass.

I was able to watch the entire game this time, not just the highlights. I saw the Bruins visibly tired in the first two periods. In the last period they showed admirable mentality (special praise: Marchand). The Sabres (youngest team of the 2022-23 season!) played it really bravely and patiently. Happy New Year to the entire hockey family by the Bruins fan from good old Germany!

The Sabres are literally a goaltender and one more outstanding defenseman away from being cup contenders even though the goalies have been outstanding and improved a lot, but good lord there offense is just absolutely scary and Tage Thompson is just a nightmare to deal with. He literally went from almost being put on waivers to being the NHL’s most valuable player in the conversation right next to McDavid and Draisaitl because yeah this kid Tage Thompson can play hockey no doubt about that.

It was a fun game to watch. Congrats Sabres. Even though my Bruins lost I enjoyed watching this game very much and it's good to see Sabres bounce back from the bottom. I hope to see them in the playoffs, this young team needs some playoff experience and then they can become unstopable.
