Im waiting for the new Softube fader
ОтветитьWait... Does Softube's Console now support 3rd party plugins from everyone(like Fabfilter, AA, Sonible, PA, etc.)? So you can add and control any plugin with the controller? If so then it's with another look for me.
ОтветитьDude-bro...you might be on to something! <3
ОтветитьYou can't beat the SSL uc1. Everything is dedicated no need to think where is what and many confusing buttons like an IT guy Cobbled something together with the soft tube console 3
Ответитьthanks for the video is this workaround can work on the SSL UF8? on studio one?
Ответитьomg, this "follow track" thing is gonna save my UF1, thx man
ОтветитьThat's my next setup!!!
Ответитьomg you're the only person I know that likes SSL 9k eq in C1 as the go-to workhorse eq (same as me!). I like it a lot on vocals as well, very smooth sounding curves. But I use it on my C1 mk2. As for SSL UF1 I don't see myself using only 1 fader, I like to mix having everything down to minus inifinity and pulling up a lot of faders fast at once. But maybe it's just how I'm used to work haha. Nice vid Matty!
ОтветитьHow was the mpmidi controller?
ОтветитьSweet setup, i've been using the drawmer 1976 emulation for ages and i've considred to pickup uf1 for awhile.
ОтветитьI got the same and love the pairing. I also use console fader for multiple fader control. I tried the ssl uf8 and didn’t like the feel and found it had some sharp ends/adges that were a little abrasive, also not as smooth in function, Where as the console fader feels smooth and works great. Going between all 3 and choosing the device you like best to perform the given function is great. But as a logic user, now I have to try the nektar cs12 that everyone is raving about. It could replace the uf1, if its mappings and functions are as good as it looks. I got one that should come soon, I’ll post a follow up for the logic users.
ОтветитьThanks! May I ask what is the model of the little display in front on the Console 1?
ОтветитьI thought Track follow is working now (ever since they updated their 360 software)
This is from their site:
"When the UF8/UF1 has been configured to control the Plug-in Mixer (set to 'Plug-in Mixer' in 360), it will follow the track selection for all tracks in the DAW where you have inserted SSL 360° enabled channel strip plugins."
Thanks for your Video! - it would be so great to have also someone doing the same for Cubase , what the cool guy did for studio1... ;)
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Informative as always! Any reason why you prefer the SSL over the Faderport1, which might have even tighter integration with Studio One?
Ответитьmatty what happened to the Presonus controller? you don't like to use that anymore? Also, Studio 1 or Protools? Which is your go to?
ОтветитьMatty do you have contact info for the guy who wrote the driver ? It's not working right for 6.6 and I'd be interested in helping to code it
ОтветитьIf you’re making a living mixing and mastering, investing in this gear is a priority. But, if you’re primarily a home studio guy, mixing and mastering is just a small part of our studio. I tried a Presonus FaderPort 16 many years ago, and it sat idle, so I sold it. I do use the control surface features of a LaunchKey 61 and a Maschine Mikro on a daily basis. Just curious what you think of the new Nektar CS 12 Panorama? Is it for mixing & mastering? Or more a musician/producer tool?
ОтветитьI love my C1 MK2 and Console Fader ... sure wish Softube would come out with a fader unit with 20 faders. I just ordered the UF1 as I"m also using LUNA and the FP V2 doesn't serve me well as I think the UF 1 will. Thanks... just subscribed.
Ответить🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьWhat about the mp mpmidi controller vs these Softube Console 1 MK3 & SSL UF1 or would this be an even better setup.
ОтветитьI use the Console 1 MK3 along-side my Presonus Faderport 16 in Logic Pro X... I don't even look at my computer screen at all anymore. Not even when I'm tracking, in many cases.
ОтветитьA tip for anyone could be to swap the UF1 for the magic fader which is a HQ single fader and programmable buttons device that works great alongside Console1 mk3, with a smaller footprint
ОтветитьWhat's up Matty, I love you channel bro. I hope you doing well overall. I intern with you in Boston in 2006 and I always admire that you stay connected with new tech. I recently picked up the UC1 and I really like the workflow. I know you prefer the console 1 over the UC1, but now that 360 link is available do you still feel the same way? Strength and blessings.
ОтветитьGreat video Matty Thanks for sharing this workflow! Pultec as a 2nd EQ , after the Q3 makes a big difference. Definitely going to add a UF1 to my MK3 now.
Are we getting any closer to Softube Fader MK3 release, I’m interested to see what Softube comes up with in their fader dept next.
Hey Matty! Great video as always man 👌🏻 Thanks for the heads up on the UF1 workaround and props to the guy who created it...game changer! 🙌🏻
ОтветитьCan Softube Console 1 Channel MkIII unit control my built-in Cubase Channel strip? without loading any wrappers VST just by mapping the controls? Thanks
ОтветитьCs 12 is a great option too.
ОтветитьSwitch to Logic Pro, replace the SSL UF-1 with the Nektar Panorama CS12 and the controller setup is even better 😁
ОтветитьVery useful video, thanks Matty. Good to see how you combine both units into a boss system
ОтветитьHi Matty …. Are you able to use Console 1 mk3 fader and UF-1 together …. I’m having a HUI issue where in pro Tools the Console 1 fader misses a bank of 8 faders when the UF1 is activated in peripherals…. Weird… wondering whether you’ve experienced the same thing? Thanks JMCM
