Whoever thought tassie in the middle of winter for a night game was a good idea has never played footy or been to Tasmania.
And the dour, defensive tactics of so many coaches continues to ruin the spectacle.
Then there's been the first half of the year full of overreactions to head high contacts with suspensions that make no sense and only anger fans.

One of the worst seasons I can remember for decades, lucky to get one good game a week.
And under the current leadership, not holding my breath for any real improvements.

Free kicks were pretty even at 26-24 for all the whiners complaining about Hawthorn. Had nothing to do with the outcome of the game.

The cold weather had absolutely nothing to do with how bad this game was. Many games have been played in cold weather throughout the sport's history.

Roofs don't belong on footy stadiums. Aussie rules football is an outdoor winter sport and always has been. People have become soft. They play pro sports in much colder conditions in Europe and the US, 4°C in Launceston at night is mild in comparison.

The more I watch it the more I can see that Adelaide player's query of why a 50m penalty wasn't given against Ginnivan? Just not sure if it would've put the kick within distance....but that 50m was there. What a victory. Adelaide looked all over Hawthorn from the beginning so I'll take it.

Umpires won again. And for those who say free kicks were even, look at where they were given. Hawthorn and Dunstall said this on tv - the free kicks in front of goal are keeping hawthorn in the game.

Hawks whilst Geelong in the 8 will not go anywhere. Geelong always beat them. Whilst Geelong around the mark it will be season over for Hawks.

Does anyone else at times feel the ladder is an enigma and frustrating by circumstances? For first example in 2023, North Melbourne lost 20 games straight in a 23 round fixture and avoided the wooden spoon. While you have the Fremantle, Western Bulldogs and Melbourne no matter what stuck in the 8th-12th ladder positions, the Adelaide Crows have experienced two consecutive losing streaks and don't budge from 4th or 5th. It's as if the ying and yang from 2023's blunder, now has them in the 4th or 5th spot the rest of the competition forgot about.
