I enjoyed the overall comparison. I had a lot fun working with you on these video room builds. I think video is one of those technologies that you need to see to appreciate what works and what could be improved.

This has been our experience too ... from Deployment to User Experience to Managability ... the Cisco solution is handsdown the market leader. Thanks for the review Looking Point - well done!

Have customers on both and we've been able to switch Zoom Room users over to Room Kits The Cisco solution is simple and easier to use/setup compared to Zoom.

Lots of concerns with this misleading product review. Tested both and they are clearly confused how to setup a zoom room or use the built in proximity features. Were you using a discontinued kit?

This was great to see. So few of us have the chance to set both of these up regularly and this really helps for a reference point.

Is there anything to compare the Room Kit Plus and a Zoom equivalent ?

Interesting review, thanks for making it...

Are you going to do more of these? If so, could you please compare something for the larger meeting rooms? And maybe do a test over time, witch solution is easiest to manage and to use over a couple of months or so.

Wow...this is an incredible review. So in a nutshell it comes down to Simplicity, being Immersive and overall UX. Great job Tech Talk! Are you planning on doing other videos like this? If so, definitely do it.

This is not an objective review.... it does not highlight the positive and negatives of both solutions and is intended to persuade the viewer to lean towards Cisco.

I would love to see a comparison of the Cisco room kit vs the surface hub 2.

Thanks for this review. It was very helpful.

Great review! I'm not as familiar with Zoom specifically so very helpful. I recently installed a Cisco room 55 and that went easily as well. (I have the video of it on my channel if anyone would want to check it out)

Interesting review. Do you think it's worth noting to those watching this that LookingPoint is a large Cisco reseller? Or is that a moot point when reviewing Cisco's products publicly?

the take up of video conferencing was minimal in the 90's and early 2000. Not because it didn't work , its just people didn't know how to use it . Simplicity is the key here and I think Cisco have done a far better job of that than any other vendor including Zoom.

Where I work, I deal with Cisco codecs on almost a daily basis. On top of that, we also just recently switched to zoom. It's actually been really nice and we are gaining a lot of adoption of video enterprise wide, where with cisco alone we weren't able to get that. There is a room connector from zoom that works with Cisco rooms so that when you book a meeting, you walk in the room and there is a green "join" button waiting, you walk in the room, press the join button, and your zoom meeting is launched. Also with the Cisco codec's you can write macro's, which allow you to customize the touch panel even further. I've been writing a lot of macro's lately to help solve problems that you wouldn't expect to have. Also, you can use a crestron controller behind the cisco codec to control other features. As an example, we have a cafe that is being used as a presentation area. With one tap of the touch 10, the entire system comes on, projector screens drop down, projectors turn on, microphone toggles and adjustments are right on screen, there's a zoom speed dial as well as the capability for the join button. It's all SUPER simple.

I'm a UC engineer, I do a lot with telehealth as well as video conferencing, and my absolute recommendation right now is Cisco.

Now I just have to go figure out how I can make a divisible room and still use my cisco touch 10.

well for the price, the Cisco solution had better work. Zoom is great but having Logitech and not having your own stuff, NATURALLY you will get this kind of interop issues, so you get what you pay for. It really depends on your GTM.

This is not an objective review! Cisco webex is horrible user experience. We are using it company wide, 8000 employees in offices in us, eu and India. Horrible audio, horrible meeting setup

You should try Mac Mini with auto updates and auto restart at night. Cisco might be fine but Zoom is more scalable. In over 6 months haven't experience ipad and mac disassociating at all. Perhaps choosing pc solution for your zoom is a problem. You can always build safe heaven network node for zoom devices and just let macs take care of the common pc issues. That might also fix your audio video lag issue. Just saying.

why don't you do comparison betwee both of them with talk fusion live meeting?
I found Talk Fusion live meeting is the best quality, crystal clear, lypsinc, only 1 Mbps needed with latest technology Web RTC and we get commission when refferal to people.

Pretty biased review. You took a patchwork approach with zoom instead of a turnkey like Crestron UC Zoom Room package. In reality what is the dollar vs dollar comparison?

My kids school is switching from Zoom to Webex, so as parent I wanted you to get more information but after watching this video it left with more questions about what webex does. I guess I’m used to the Zoom platform and was expecting more a fair comparison. This one the most one sided videos I’ve seen in awhile. Is this video sponsored by Webex? And also the automatic wake feature from Webex when someone walks into a room is creepy and seem like security breech waiting to happen
