Need the song name
ОтветитьWOW... great tone.
ОтветитьIt's great when some of your pickers are flying through fiddle songs 9 million bps but this is probably the best one unveiling of what's in that guitar.
ОтветитьOne of the most beautiful versions of "Ashoken Farewell" I have ever heard, and I've heard many.
Ответитьmight be that drop D tuning - and the player - or the Ax knew this tune before it was written.
ОтветитьBoth Outstanding...
ОтветитьThree thumbs down? Dementors, perhaps?
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьNobody can pull tone out of an old guitar better than Kenny Smith!
ОтветитьVery beautiful guitar
ОтветитьOUTSANDING sounding guitar, Kenny's playing is so perfect to show case the depth of this instruments tone....Beautiful.
Ответитьholy shnikes!!!
ОтветитьI was JUST thinking a couple days what a beautiful song this would be arranged for guitar on a Martin. Ashokan Farewell. Such a beautiful song. Thanks for this!
ОтветитьThere's just something so magical about those pre-war Martin's!
Ответитьperfection
ОтветитьI heard Tony Rice say in an interview that Norman's 34 was the best sounding guitar he had ever heard.
ОтветитьI think it's kind of a miracle that this cool old work horse made it this far.
It could have easily been lost stolen or just broken to bits. Great pickin! Great tune!
Thank you
ОтветитьThis version of this classic song is perhaps the best on the internet. Kenny is so good...
ОтветитьI’d be lying if I said this didn’t bring a tear to my eye. Not only the tune, but that instrument, who it belonged to and thinking of what it’s seen through it’s years. Just amazing. Well played, Kenny.
ОтветитьThe most beautifully done version I have found
ОтветитьPerfect tone
ОтветитьPlease teach me this song Kenny !
ОтветитьKenny Smith is a very impressiv Guitar picker. His picking is so fine, clean and virtuosly.
ОтветитьThat dang guitar melts
ОтветитьSweet sounds of Kenny Smith. Thanks for playing and Carter for posting.
ОтветитьHas such a lovely tone and beautifully played. Amazing to consider what a rich history it has.
ОтветитьPlain out awesome👌
ОтветитьDoes anyone know if he is using an alternate tuning
ОтветитьIs this in DADGAD or just drop D tuning?
ОтветитьWhy did Norman sell it?
ОтветитьMy dad was born in 1934 and he has weathered many great and terrible storms in his life. Like this guitar he shows the stress and wear from the years, but also like this guitar there is such beauty that comes from the instrument which God has brought him to be.
ОтветитьThis is the best sounding D28 I’ve ever heard
ОтветитьI absolutely love this.
ОтветитьIs this the guitar from the cover of the first Blake and Rice album? Beautiful guitar, sound and looks. And beautiful playing.
ОтветитьFinally! A slow musical tune rather than rapid fire sea of flailing notes. Now we get to hear what the guitar sounds like rather than how many notes the player can squeeze in per second. Just beautiful! Bravo!
ОтветитьKenny's as good as anybody. We had some good times at ETRS during IBMA with him and Amanda.
ОтветитьSimply stunning on so many levels...🙂
ОтветитьKenny is as good as it gets.
ОтветитьBlake’s 12-fret dreads sound even better.
ОтветитьThis is the best sounding d28 ive ever heard! and ive played a 50s d28 in person before and saying this.
ОтветитьWhat a tone warrior !!
ОтветитьThat was marvelous
ОтветитьProbably not for sale 🤩
ОтветитьWhat a fine instrument and someone that isnt just running lines. Actual play and strumming. Demonstrating how good this guitar sounds. Its phenomenal.
ОтветитьStunning!
ОтветитьPre-War D−28 Is My Jewel❤
Ответитьgreat
ОтветитьAs we say in the South, goodnight! That was just awesome.
Ответитьdefinitely a hoss of a guitar so powerful.
