How To Play Classic Payday Board Game

I picked up a copy of dracula by kosmos games a 2 player game , was wondering if you had a copy and if you do could you do a demo

During intense gaming sessions during 80's and 90's, Payday was always on the table every night. In my Swedish version there's a loan limit, and many of us reached that one. Only once, one player stopped the game at the loan limit, (and that was the person who had the best control over his/hers real money balance).

Love this game, and it's international through and through!

Playing this tonite for the first with the grandaughter. Wife is gonna be banker etc and not playing.Hope we like it.

I would have to grab a copy of this game and play it out. The rules seem fairly..random for my liking.

When you complete the game and finish up all your months and you have a few players still playing to finish up, Does the person that finished still keep rolling when it is his/her turn to try to roll a 6 and collect the jackpot money? We had a few games that were really close as to where it came down to if one of us won the jackpot , that person would be the winner.

The rules say...

Upon finishing the last payday of the predetermined time period, player must wait until everyone finishes. You may still participate in the Lottery, Radio Phone-In Contest, Happy Birthday, or Walk for Charity, if one comes up. The player with the most net cash in hand or lowest amount of debt wins the game.

It uses the word MAY. So does that mean I still have to put in my money for charity walk or birthday money? If I am not able to get the right to roll the 6 to win the jackpot money back, why would I choose to put money into the charity walk? That is a for sure way to lose money. If you finish up your months and roll a lot of 6's and the other players keep rolling ones, One could lose a lot more money if I am just sitting there idle waiting for them to finish and handing out money here and there.

Do you choose your buyer?

You only pay a 50 dollar fine if you withdraw from your savings account and it isn't payday yet. On payday you do not pay a fine for withdrawing from it.

Do you have to roll the exact amount of spaces that lands you on Payday? Let's say I'm four away. Do I roll until I get a four or can I roll a four or more and land on it?

This video is very helpful to jog my memory, but I have one constructive criticism. You don’t need to say, “You’re going to go ahead and X” so much. Just tell us the action. “When you land on Pay Day, pay your bills”, as opposed to “When you land on Pay Day, you’re going to go ahead and pay your bills”, etc.

I'm 24 and when I was little I used to play this exact version of payday with my dad.. this gave me so much nostalgia 💓

This game is just a way to make children into good little drones who get in line and follow orders to benefit the wealthy by being good consumers and barely survive financially for their entire lives. Good times.
