iOS 17.5: Every New Feature

The fact Apple have CONSTANTLY been tinkering with stopwatch recently is infuriating. It used to be that you set a timer and it immediately told you the exact time it would sound. Now you have to click through to see it. Why Apple?!? Like seriously. Leave it alone!!

Because the only way to get no stop watch for apple is to get the iPhone I phone 14 Pro Dynamic Island remove

I still cannot see the battery percentage with a white background wallpaper once the battery starts depleting on the Home Screen. This has been a bug since I adopted iOS17 and despite repeatedly reporting it, it has never been fixed in any of the updates, not even this one! Truly frustrating.

the battery life of my 14 pro max went from 95% to 90% in a month upon updating to 17.4.1 🙂 i bought this august last year

I glad with stopwatch being removed.

I use that feature only to forget why i set that and carry in with rest until that time. But this being run infront of my eyes all the time is just a distraction and keep reminding about why i set that.

So basically added some unnecessary features and removed one out only few uses from DI

Love the changes. Apple needs to keep adapting and not care about what their very basic users think. At the end of the day, their basic users will buy a turd if it has an apple logo on it.

I’ve been on the 17.5 beta for a month or 2 now make a free developer account and get the developer betas😭 it’s not that hard and also THATS WHERE MY STOPWATCH WENT

a feature you missed that is amazing for bilinguals: text to speech now adapts to the language that its reading, so when I get a message in French, announce messages doesn't try to read it in English, but it reads it out in French. a feature i'v been waiting for for years.

the biggest update you could get is getting a jailbreak, which involves... not updating, lel. like, this adds unlimited features for you, instead of, well, this. or 17.4.

Greg, I've been holding off on 17.4.1 due to all the reported issues. Is it reasonable to assume that 17.5 will correct the previous glitches?

After installed 17.4.1 my phone started to overheat so I’m just hoping they will fix this issue

All the features that make AirTag less useful for criminals also make it less effective against criminals.

I’m going to hate that last change.
