Thanks, so helpfull. Only thing wrong with youre video is, there is no need to remove the sound deadening foam from the doorskin. Otherwise, very good guide.

I just lifted the window and frame out of the door, and two small metal pieces fell into the door. The part number is 8D0837779 and they are called "distance piece assembly carrier". I have no idea where these pices go. Does anyone here know?

I have the same car not sure if it’s the window motor that’s bad or window regulator. every time i press the button to roll down it just stays up. Anyone please help?

Thanks for this video. I replaced the cable kit in mine today.
Knowing where each bolt or screw is beforehand helped a lot.
With the cable kit the only tough bit was winding the cables onto the drive pulley & then 'twist it tight & flip it down flat into its housing'.
I put in soundproofing into the door & a new window switch lock as well.
This time I remembered to connect the doors inside latch cable too.

At the speaker-removal i was like, no way thats so much to replace after im done.
few minutes later, and now you can remove the top half of the door. Audi, we need to talk.

I had the pleasure of this job today on a client's vehicle today. got the door panel off no problem then I looked at the window and thought how the hell one the glass out of the door and showing the cable that that run from the door mirror take - very important step and I was doing this job alone. thank you for a very precise & informative video , got the job done without breaking anything:-)

This helped a lot. I got halfway in and scratched my head, had my suspicions that the whole upper half of the door would have to come out. This confirmed it. Not sure whether to love it or hate it. It kind of seems like extra work but any other vehicle I’ve replaced one on required a lot of window manipulation and risked scratching it in the process. This design helps prevent that.

Thanks for the video. Managed to get mine done today. Didn't account for one of the retaining screws on the motor snapping a lug off from the regulator though... don't over tighten guys! Had to remove the wing mirror too and it was a bugger to get back on correctly so anyone looking to do this make sure you can remove with the mirror attached and there is enough slack on the cable. Thanks again!

Could you not have unscrewed the inner panel instead of lifting the glass out?

Absolutely avoided the key hard parts!

The wires are clipped inside the door kind of behind the speaker, the wires for the mirror, make sure you break those clips too

I just changed my window regulator using this guide and was a complete success! I would add that the mirror cable on mine was fixed with little velcro straps that were a pain to undo but other than that the vid is spot on 👌

Wow, you just talked me out of buying an Audi A4 that needs new regulators.

Done a fair few of these on my A4B6 one little hint to make them last longer. Grease up the cable and the blue cable housing where the cable winds onto. Makes the cables last a lot longer
