The reason RM’s lollipop changed is because of Korean tv regulations. They’re not allowed to show people smoking. I just realized when you pointed that out that you’re not supposed to smoke near anything flammable. Had he done that in real life the gas station would have exploded which is what I think they were trying to allude to.

I know I'm very late for commentary as this came out more than a year ago, but "the most beautiful moment in life" both part 1 and 2 were albums hevily centered around youth and you'll see that theme coming back over and over again thoughout the songs from this era. I had been watching all BTS mv's since their debut because I was an avid kpop fan at the time, but this mv was what made me an army.

Truly enjoyed your insightful observations The vid is so full of symbols, especially of light and dark. When the boys are together the scenes are visually lighter. When alone, they live in a dark place and the only light that the camera focuses on is the thing that they use to cope with their Darkness. They don't really share their personal pain but when they are together there is light and movement and shared joy of Being in Light. BTS. Not just a boy band
