Imagine a party of four clerics. I bet if you went something like War, Life, Trickery, and Arcane domains you'd have a decent party.

I want him to redo the Cleric with ALL the subclasses.

I coordinated with some other players and in the first session our DM cried when he found out we were all playing life clerics.

I made a cleric bard demigod/aasimar that thier father is their god.😅

My dm is awesome my game can be summed up as uprising of the minor gods . My character may or may not have tricked people into being that he's just jack frost/jack(of the bean stalk) not secretly every single trickster god.

I'm loving my Tempest Cleric with 1 level dip into Storm Sorcerer. Lightning Lure cantrip lets me pull enemy away from our barbarian or rogue, allowing them an AOO, I do my lightning damage from the spell, then because I have pole arm master I use my reaction to AOO with the pole arm when they come within 10 feet of me. Then I can use tempestuous magic to fly away without an AOO on me or use thunderbolt strike to push them away from me and back into melee with the barbarian and rogue. Grind the enemy to pieces that way.

What I took away from this is that each cleric domain is just an OP version of the other classes.

Arcane cleric = Be gone… THOT!!!!!

Cleric is amazing. And I love DnD Gods. Even the "weaker" domains are strong. Currently playing a Drow Death Cleric of Kiaransalee :').

I’d love to play a cleric that is blind to their churches deeds. Essentially he is a Christian but in a fantasy world. They slowly start to find more and more bad shit that their church covers up while on a mission and eventually finds out “oh this is bad and missions are bad”. To cement that I was thinking a cleric with only 1 healing spell or only uses them on lower levels.

Presently playing a Divine Soul Sorcerer/Celestial Warlock multiclass as a differently flavored cleric type, fun stuff

I have a thought for Cleric players, but you'll have to figure out if this could work in 5E, I havent played since 3.5. Anyway, I love Clerics and don't like being relegated to heal bot. My favorite solution was to use Craft Wand in conjunction with anyone with Use Magic Device. We'd finish a quest and after everything was equipped, sold and split, I would spend some coin and downtime making Healing Wands. Now I have my spontaneous conversion heals, my prepared with meta feats heals and my wands of cure whatever the best i can make. Pass a Wand of Cure whatever to you Wizard/Rogue/Bard and bam second healer or third or fourth. It really upped survivability.

Love me the nature cleric. Im not part of nature, I'm not here to keep balance with nature. I'm here to return you to nature because my God said so. :)

Given that I have rolled 3 1s on my level up HP I think it's safe to say that RNGsus doesn't like my cleric.

You're a god damn full caster with no extra attacks and like 5 combat spells all of which are designed in a way that lets you heal people while you're at it.

You aren't a healbot. YOU'RE A GOD DAMN WALL. THE FUCKBOYS YOU CALL PARTY MEMBERS WILL DIE AGAIN AND AGAIN WHILE YOU STAND UNHARMED THROWING THEM BACK INTO THE GRINDER

the cool thing about clerics is they can be the healer WHILE kicking ass. Spiritual weapon makes your bonus action go bonk spirit guardians makes your mere presence go bonk but harder and your action is free to heal... with a healing word once someone goes down, dont do the MMO topping off thing, it does not work in DND

The arcana domain was a huge let down to be honest, the abilities are useful but are lack luster. And the channel divinity is a big stinker.

It's so much fun to play clerics on a printed adventure and watch DMs read box text lol

When i was trying to decide between Life Domain or Grave, an experienced player told me something that stuck with me:
The only hitpoint that matters is between 0 and 1.

Could the cleric also be considered a subclass for a paladin or fighter?

arcane abjuration not only banishes them for a minute, as per the banishment spell, if they dont belong to the plane you are on, they are banished permanently
