One question: Android Apps should feel familiar to Android users, which means that they should follow the Material Design guidelines and, for example, communicate master-detail transitions with Shared Content Animations. Will we see support for such platform-specific elements as part of the Nativescript base distribution, or will this only be available as premium add-on (or not at all?)

This made me look at angular 2 as a promising framework to build apps in the 3 platforms: web, android and ios
Much better than phonegap.
The only real competitor is Xamarin, but as said in the videos, is a different approach.
Toggether with Typescript is a perfect match! If It it was only in javascript I whould prefer invest my time in xamarin
