Something I didn't catch you mentioning is the use of a hand held GPS? Perhaps the accuracy isn't that great in rural areas but you would at the very least be able to know where you are in relation to the destination. And as your viewers will probably try doing what you are doing, I'd start talking more about how we can all use a GPS it to get to your destinations either by trail or roughing it through the bush.

Also, and I suspects it part of the plan to get people to watch the whole video, but the structure was clearly identifiable from the Google Maps sat imagery.

This is a great video. But for your own safety, don't go off trail if you don't even have a basic paper chart with you and a compass perhaps. Maybe focus on bringing a realistic amount of water instead of a single 1L bottle....that's ridiculous.
