ОтветитьHey, I’m a Linux noob . Does Linux Mint 22.1 "Xia" include the nvidia-driver-390 (the legacy driver) for older NVIDIA GPUs, like the GT 740M? I want to make sure it’s available or I need to install it manually and will it work?
ОтветитьThank you so much! I wanted to change to Linux a long time ago and I finally could, looks so pretty and is functional, so thanks again! :)

Excellent, concise and to-the-point overview, thank you so much! I'm working up the courage to install Linux on two old PCs, and this video made me feel more confident about the process. :-)

ОтветитьHey man! Any time I install Linux mint, it always stops at the grub installation. It will still say the installation has finished, but if I boot up after removing the thumb drive, I'd get redirected to a black screen with grub> as a prompt. No matter how many times I install, I always find myself in that situation. My laptop is ASUS X553M by the way. Anyway, I was still able to access my BIOS and from there, boot into the Live Linux mint. To solve the issue was to simply go to Menu, all applications and run Boot repair. Just in case anyone encounters the same issues, they can use the solution here to bypass it. Also, once booted into your computer, run "sudo apt-get update", "sudo apt-get upgrade". If you do this and reboot, your GUI will be faulty. To solve that problem also, run "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" and reboot.
ОтветитьSome of the "First Steps" items shown at first boot might be are advisable to perform at that time, e.g. System Snapshots, Update Manager, System Settings, etc. so as not to forget them, and so as to avoid having to find them later. Alternatively, don't unclick the "Show this dialog at startup" box until you have completed these actions.
ОтветитьThanks bro this video helped me a lot ❤plez make
Video about features of linux mint ❤
Hey rufus told me im missing files despite just downloading the iso a minute prior any guess why?
ОтветитьMy installation stuck at configuring hardware 😢
ОтветитьQUESTION: I will be installing this on my computer which came with LM 20 already on it. Will it "automatically" pick up my printer, and HP DeskJet 3755, or do I have to do something else? The printer is connected to the computer via a USB cable (not Wi-Fi). Thanks!
ОтветитьI have found the usb name but it says "partition 1 disabled" and does not show the name Linux Mint. It only shows the Verbatim Name.
ОтветитьI can't get to the GNU GRUB screen.
ОтветитьI cant see the wifi option what now??
ОтветитьNice demo, background music made it seem like a video game walkthrough.
Anyhow I'd just like to recommend MS Core Fonts for new installs. If your moving from windows & going with LibreOffice for example that will greatly help with doc compatibility.

Others just rush or just read out of a script voice overing their recording
I did install mint
I had only one usb which had windows image
I just copied that to my android and proceeded with it
I feel I'm an above average computer user but after watching every video and reading every install of Linux I could find, I can't get this so-called easy install to install. One thing after another. I'm trying to install Mint on an older HP system currently running a stiped down version of Win 10. I would prefer to keep that Windows OS on the machine at least for now. After numerous downloads, Rufus configurations the Linux system loads the live mode fine. But as soon as I try to permanently install it, and prefer to use the "install next to Win 10" option, it just stops saying MSDOS does not allow file systems over a "certain number". It also reports the existing OS is Win 7 which has never been installed on this machine. I guess if you're a geek and hate Microsoft so much that you'll spend every free minute playing around with this until something accidentally clicks, have at it!
ОтветитьThank you for the video. So useful for me.
ОтветитьNice tutorial with beautiful and understandable voice.
