Of course it's Farmington
ОтветитьWhy was it ok for the blonde girl to have flowers around her cap also. They left her alone. This is disgusting FARMINGTON HIGH SCHOOL.
ОтветитьHer mom is a U.S. Marine Veteran. I remember serving with her in okinawa, when she was a Sgt. Rahh
ОтветитьAll students were warned before the ceremony.
They disregarded the rules.
This makes me so angry. I am so sick and tired of people and school districts getting away with such wrongful acts. We all have our culture and beliefs.
ОтветитьCharge her with a felony for handling eagle feathers and destroying them
ОтветитьI almost didn’t walk on my graduation day because of this. FHS staff is a joke
ОтветитьThe only 'heritage' is the amerikkkan rite to "bear-arms" in the form of assault rifles in public places, preferably while in a fast food line or department store...
ОтветитьSome of us native we keep our traditional strong and prayers that beadwork means a lot to the spiritual holy people🙏😇🙏
ОтветитьThat’s BS WE ATE THE PEOPLE OF THIS LAND OUR BLOOD IS IN THIS LAND
ОтветитьEvery school has a culture class (native class, spanish class etc) thats culture. They dont understand that. They didnt know how many native students attended FHS.... racist!
ОтветитьNative strong! 💪 aho'
ОтветитьWhere is the ACLU?
ОтветитьI would sue the school for violating the 1st Amendment of the constitution. Freedom of religion.
ОтветитьI know that there was a dress code and it was in the student hand book since 2003, buuuuuut Screw the rule! It was a stupid rule to being with!
It’s her first amendment right to show her culture with pride during this momentous occasion!
Also even if the “dress code” was strict. That doesn’t give the school and staff excuse to destroy and disrespect her cap by destroying the beads and cutting the feather off the cap while tossing it in the lost in found!
So yeah I stand with Miss Whitebull and her first amendment right to show her culture off with pride!
Accidentally throws it after grad hat and someone steals it Good job for stopping her at least she got it back
ОтветитьI would’ve exchanged words with her and left and asked for the diploma to be mailed to me
ОтветитьLets all home school or say we did. This state is last place in quality education so all this hoop-la doesn't mean anything.
ОтветитьStupid government officials
ОтветитьThis is TOTAL disrespect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never, ever, ever touch someone else’s feathers!!!!!!!!! They are very sacred to each individual!!!! I stand by this graduate 100%. FHS we wait still for an apology. Every Native students pay for all the renovations with ur school!!!!!! I personally know how much each Native student gets ur school. And it’s a lot!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s like we stepped back in time when we were forbidden to speak our language, practice our traditions and surrender our regalia!!!!!!
ОтветитьWe're all still suffering under the "1879>Carlisle Indian School Laws/ Rules." EVERYONE should say something. Last I checked those who are crossing borders are in line too. History will always repeat itself. What are we going to do for our next generation. I say OUR cause I'm hella MIX too. But who isn't so why can't WE step up and RESPECT
Ответитьunbelievable! everything in this country was stolen from the Native Americans. Graduation is a time for celebration plus it’s HER hat, bought and paid for. why was she singled out??😡
ОтветитьThey told heron the gym to please not were it but still not listened she was told two times before this
ОтветитьAll this is so stupid. That's been a rule for years. They alway hold America in the highest regards. They're always turning everything into racism and discrimination. But not to long ago I was in Window Rock AZ just right out side of New Mexico and my truck was broken into and thousands of dollars of tools were stolen. I Called 911 and was asked if I was Native American or not. When I stated I wasn't they gave me the run around. To the point not a damn single cop showed up and nothing was ever done. The crime and theft on the rez is outrageous. And it's just getting worse due to all this bias BS. All this is a joke! They treat everyone like shit that isn't Native American out on the rez. We stand by our rules and get bashed for it. 🤦
ОтветитьAmerica for Americans! Hers is the culture that was stolen by colonialists! And hundreds of years later they remove their proud heritage! To do this during the national anthem only reenforced the theft of the indigenous Americans traditions!
ОтветитьI am a white-skinned 64-year-old woman. This is proof that colonization still exists. This is Native Persons land first and foremost. This angers me!
ОтветитьThis is discusting; the law is clearly wrong and needs no upholding; how anyone can use that argument is likewise disgusting.
ОтветитьThese staffers obviously are hyper biblepushing white supremacists!!!
ОтветитьTheir mess-up, The town mess up!!!
ОтветитьJust wondering, what part of Genesis Whitebull's culture was she celebrating with her dyed blonde hair, her nostril ring protruding from both nostrils, her fake painted 3 inch fingernails, and multiple ear rings? Was it Lakota? If the Lakota celebrated dried cow dung trinket headdress adornments, would society have to bow down and submit to the Lakota's cultural demands. It is a feather, put it under the cap, don't defile the ceremony with Lakota cultural chauvinism. What next, will pagans and nudists demand to be naked at high school graduations?
ОтветитьRacists NEVER stop with their evil acts.
ОтветитьAll school principals are bullies.
ОтветитьWe stand with the white bull family and the standing rock Lakota
Ответить1. Perhaps, the student should have let the school know about the cap and had gotten its approval prior the ceremony. 2. How could the school not be willing to learn about it when its admin saw it. Was she a kind of students who pull pranks on the ceremony? Did her racial background not trigger anything about its meaning? (That much attentions were given to its students through K-12 years. ...that's sad. I understand that she might have been a transfer student) I don't know the whole picture behind this incident, but it is sad to learn that a school denied an honor during its graduation ceremony, a moment we recognize honors and achievements of the students.
Ответитьthey are willing to tolerate men who think they are women, even giving them awards, medals and trophies. it even has reached the point where it encouraged in grade school to become anything you wish for...but traditional families or people with traditions are attacked and are seen as a threat.
this is why im a republican.
a conservative republican of black and native american mix.
So sad I am a native n this is very disrespectful so it’s a crime to be native now what the hell is this world coming to we r 1 nation lets not forget about that what r ancestors went through n now u can’t even were anything that resembles who u r where u come from I would have sue them
ОтветитьThat's totally being disrespectful to the Native American Nations of this country and unacceptable and I stand with Standing Rock Lakotas for all the injustices they've lived through!
ОтветитьDecorating caps is nothing new
ОтветитьI love how people break the code, but cry racism. How pathetic and ignorant, can you be? I'm part native, you make all look bad. It wasn't respectful to break the dress code, but you did. Don't go to public school, if you don't like the rules.
ОтветитьSUUUPER petty of them to do this... If there was some vulgar over the top stuff going on , we get it.... Her cap was hardly noticeable if you ask me , as matter fact , now looking at it looks much improved
Ответитьthe instructor that took the girl graduate cap did that so she could take the eagle feather.....
ОтветитьWhy are u removing any comment agreeing with the school?
ОтветитьWhat’s next? Are u gonna put feathers and beads on your uniform if u join the army or marines ? How about if a native goes to space do they get a special needed suit cause they are different ? Or in the Olympics do u want to hang turqoise from your uniform before u run with the other contestants ? Give me a break, this isn’t racism this is just people not knowing how to be part of a team or group without being extra.
ОтветитьWhy do u get a special gown and no one else? Not racism just u not wanting to be part of the program
ОтветитьThe White Eurpoeans always show their racist fear of natives expressing themselves. Then why adopt the White European blonde hair? Such a sad contradiction.
ОтветитьThis is discrimination. I hope they take it further. I’m sorry this happened to this young woman and her family.
ОтветитьThose two ladies are in violation of an actual native Americans act. They are allowed to represent and not be discriminated!!!! Those ladies should be arrested.
ОтветитьAll of y'all need stop being to soft you where given a dress code how about t instead of complaining about the staff you get into a college that Isn't San Juan
ОтветитьThey chose your daughter because it was over the cap. You are Aloud to Decorate it under the cabinet but not over it Maybe you just need to go back to grammar class
Ответить
