Wait why didnt you test the big group number stuff IF it has a online variant. I totally get not getting people to come over to play the game but isnt it built for being played over discord, couldnt you have just... set up a big zoom meeting?

This is one of those times where I wish I was famous so I could play this game with Harrison Ford...

This looks cool but at $40...not sure that's a cost I can justify. I could get 2+ DUEL style games for that amount.

As I am an uninspired puritan I gotta say I was on the fence about Tom in the beginning, but I'm really starting to like his reviews.

Game looks real good, BUT DA REVIEW IS AMAZING

I want to like this game as much as I like this video (a lot); but don't understand how any conflict arises when the interviewee is human. We played, I asked questions, he answered them normally, absolutely nothing suggested he might be a robot...and in fact wasn't. It was completely flat. Even role playing deeply, all roles want to convince the interviewer they are a human. Am I playing wrong? Do the humans have some sort of mental quirk that makes them behave oddly that I haven't seen in the rulebook?

It sounds like it's hybridized roleplaying with improv, honestly.

God I wish Tom reviewed Far Away. Seeing it in this video gave me such hope that he'd talk about how it's a hot mess.

I would probably never actually buy this game because it's pretty outside my tastes but the effort that went into the theatrics of the set is amazing. The only thing to make it better would be hollowing out an old cassette recorder so that when you hit record, it spun the empty tape and started a countdown timer. That way you can start it off by going "do you mind if I record this interview?" and then click the tape on.

Great review. Unfortunately I still haven't gotten around to playing it because of covid and now that things are opening up I'm too busy with work to get a group together. I did however play heaps of their first game Secret Hitler. Have you played it?

Thank-you for talking about "The Cringe". It's one of the biggest stumbling blocks for many people to really get into gaming, especially RPG's. As people, we are always "playing" something - whether that's trying to be stoic during hard times or pretending to enjoy something when we don't. I wish people could get over their resistance to enjoying the experience of inhabiting a character and letting their imagination go.
