Sounds logical. I never see errors in texting until after I hit send.

My favourite way of proofreading is to turn on text to speech. I often don't see my errors, but I definitely notice them when a computer voice says them out loud. I don't usually do this with short bits of text like emails (though maybe I should), but it definitely helped to get me through grad school.
