Imho, the isometric screenshot reminds me of RollerCoaster Tycoon.
ОтветитьThere are mods that add it back in in modern versions. They're cool to use, but an issue that can happen is that they can be used to pretty easily cheat by finding areas.
ОтветитьI would love more floating islands in minecraft, whole worlds or just finding them in normal worlds
ОтветитьThese graphics SLAPPED me straight into my teenage years lmao
Wow. I will always remember these and the alpha releases. They hold so many memories for me
I love Indev. I only started playing near the end if beta/beginning of release, but having tried Indev, it has so much personality. It has the playability of Alpha but without the infinite world generation. It’s fascinating, i really like it
Ответитьyou used to be able to get skylands (the floating islands) with datapacks until they did an update (like it was possible the first version with datapacks and then they removed it but you could only get one biome at a time)
People asked for skylands for years until it was forgotten
I don't think evil mobs spawn in heaven
Ответитьthank you for exploring minecraft in such a beautiful way
Ответитьwe could play aether mod live together since you've never played it before
ОтветитьThat castle in the thumbnail captures the essence of the beta experience so well
Ответитьif you go in F5 mode you will also be able to see yourself in the screenshot
ОтветитьIn the newest Indev that is available in betacraft you can actually get logs by breaking logs
ОтветитьI definitely think of Indev as "that version of Minecraft with the really neat world gen customization".
It's gimmicky, but gimmicky worlds can be fun.
I remember Planetoids and Biospheres and the other gimmicky user-made world generators. Those were fun for a bit.
what version of indev is this and can i access it from the minecraft launcher?
ОтветитьYeah I remember cobblestone looking neat but when I finally got
Minecraft it looked so different.
"More like a toy than a game" is a brilliant way to describe early Minecraft. It was such an excellent toy that evolving it into a more traditional video game was probably inevitable. For me, the most "pure" Minecraft experience will always involve wandering around the world, exploring crazy randomized terrain/caves, and building things for their own sake as inspiration strikes, based on my own desires and interests, and not the pre-determined requirements of a quest or achievement or any narrative I didn't conjure up myself. As long as that kind of experience is still possible - and it totally is, even in the latest versions, you just have to ignore a bunch of extra stuff around the margins 😂 - it will still be Minecraft to me.
Ответитьdo you really need 23 minutes to say this.
Ответитьi wanna make a mod for this, but i dont know how lol
ОтветитьThis is dope
Ответитьthis is so cool!
ОтветитьFun fact: This exists in better than adventure. And is fully implemented.
Ответитьthe screenshots are glitchy when i tried this.
Ответитьnice video. which version of indev did you showcase in this video?
Ответитьcustom worlds were better, R.I.P. to my lava ocean worlds lol
Ответитьi loved the finite worlds . they were so cool like compacted everything was so special . infinite is boring
ОтветитьOMG its not at all what Minecraft is now, and its great
ОтветитьBTA - better than adventure have that but better, its great
ОтветитьThese worlds remind me of the huge potential that modern Minecraft has that's it's not achieving. Its already an amazing game, but it could be leagues better if Mojang let it be
ОтветитьHey dialko! You should shout me out.
Ответитьoh my god I wish Minecraft had stayed more like that I would sacrifice the infinite world gen we have now for some evolved version of that feature instead in an instant XD Could someone make some kind of mod to re-create it??
ОтветитьI'm pretty sure it's because of the infinite world generation
But even then, why not update it?
Such a weird decision.
Floating lands really looks cool and what's important that Notch wanted to make it, so why its still not exist cuz i think aether portal that we all wanted for so long these lands would be so appropirate, i think this update is coming its so gonna be
Ответитьtbh i thought this video was going to be about sword blocking. i got minecraft pretty recently and from what i've seen, the sword blocking seems VERY useful! i wonder why mojang got rid of it
ОтветитьStill upset about the fact that they removed Hibernation
ОтветитьWasn't there also a winter theme in Indev where snow would generate on the ground?
Ответитьi actually want limited world sizes to come back, there is something fun about playing in a limited spaceq
ОтветитьDeep floating worlds are awesome
Ответить"old minecraft was so great" videos are almost as boring as the game was back then, like geewee i wonder why we can't have an isometric screenshot on a game that has problems rendering pixels :/
ОтветитьI know that this feature won't come back, but it would be so easy to take the screenshot function and limit the amount of chunks it can capture at a time to avoid too much strain on computers. One other thing I'd love to see is the actual generation of the indev world in real or slowed time. Aaand now I'm feeling nostalgic for a version I didn't play.
Ответитьimagine if this is what you saw when you used maps
ОтветитьDo you think notch plays Minecraft
Ответитьfloating deep worlds are actually breathtaking... I wish there was a way to recreate them in modern minecraft
ОтветитьHaving a limit brings out your creativity 👍
Ответить"Taking screenshot of infinite world." Lol.
Ответитьwhat is the specific version
ОтветитьI am also impressed by how the old terrain and graphics used to look like with so many variations as a minecraft player who properly joined last year. The nights looked even more creepy than current one.
