Today, advanced computers and telescopes allow us astronomers to reconstruct the historical position and movement of objects in the known universe.

One spectacular application of this technology is through the use of the famous Zeiss planetarium projector. Ironically, these technical capabilities are often used at Christmas concerts and planetarium events where the calculated positions of planets, stars and constellations are reconstructed as they might have been on the night of December 24, 1 B.C.

For archeoastronomers, the practice of sky and space simulation is an essential window that enables us to see what our ancestors saw in the heavens.

In this video, presenter Frederick Tamagi describes what the latest models are telling us.
