Get yourself an oregan blade for your strimmer it will cut through anything like butter , we used one to clear our overgrown garden at the house in France

After watching Charlie staring at the metal roof panels i noticed his shadow and i do believe he is seeing his shadow and is very entertained by it.

I know the feeling with aching hands from strimming etc! Our place in Andalusia has gone mad with weeds after all the recent rain. I’m knackered 😂 At least you get to see lots of reward for all your effort!!

For effective strumming Nick in thick undergrowth you need to replace the string for the metal blade. This will cut through everything so much quicker and will not need adjusting to get more string out. The string idea is for trimming round a lawn, not on land.

Nick the bench should have been priority 😂😂 loving the videos just love seeing the change to the land, hope the rain eases soon x

When are you guys going to give your property a name?

If you get a tarpaulin big enough you could put it over the metal frame outside the stone room and it will give you a bit of cover from the rain and you can do projects like the bbq table.
A further suggestion. Get some sheep or chicken poo from the store and put it around your fruit trees before they fruit.
You’re doing a great job and your enthusiasm is contagious. ❤

Maybe if you talk to one of the sheepherders around there that they can have the sheep eat your grass for you I’ve seen it done a couple different places probably could be done each time before you come back

I would check the local laws about the grass cutting because there are regulations due to fire on having to keep grass down to a minumum in the dry months. So, that is a concern I have about leaveing long patches.

An old petrol mower is a great thing,especially near the building xxx great job xx

Someone commented below. You need to dig a trench round poly tunnel to secure plastic cover. Hard work but worth it in the long run. It will tighten in to ground and secure the whole thing. Seems a good time of year to dig before ground hardens.
There must be grass snakes in that long grass.
I too feel wary of Garda civil on the road. Always feel I’m guilty even when driving a car with children in the back.

just a thought as I had one of these and it rained and bad winds, came and lifted it up, so might be a good ides if you dig the edges around and into the ground a bit, not just leave on the ground if you dig a trench put greenhouse in and then cover bottom rails with dirt then put shadecloth over, and tied it down.... just learn from my mistakes.

Maybe you could invest in a robot lawn mower? I've seen someone on YT or Tiktok using one. They had solar panels and it was setup to go and recharge and then roam the land in a predetermined pattern every day.

We had one of those politunels. Firstly you need to make sure it is securely anchored to the ground, secondly you need to ensure that you bury the edges plastic cover in the ground else when the wind blows strong, it gets underneath and puts strain on the frame.
