I’m not a welding yet, but have been wanting to be one for nearly three years but didn’t have my ged to go to school. Well I finally got my ged and got accepted to school and I start next month March 2022. This helps a lot

Hi, i have the older type Thermamax Thermadyne tig 200p acdc inverter, new condition just alot of knobs. Not sure if you are familiar with it. I love your channel, you are extremely knowledgeable and straight forward. Mine don't show AC balance and Hz etc, different names. Can you help me with settings for Alluminium. I been ark welding for 28 years, mig welded a bit too but i need to master alluminium and stainless tig. My settings are Pre flow, Peak current, Basic Current, down slooe, arc force, pulse frequency, duty cycle, clean area width and gas after flow. Then ACDC, 2T 4T, pulse straight and tig mma. Thanks in advance, Michael Sharrock. Do you do online courses

My tig welder has a dial for ac balance that you turn, starts at zero , you can go back to minus 50 or forward to plus 30 I have no idea how to make sense of it

THANK YOU.. I've asked so many people to technically explain what it is "balancing": Whether it's frequency or if it's adjusting the amplitude. So "balancing is essentially changing the duty cycle. Interesting stuff

Fortunately I know that if Al is set at 1500°F in your graphic it should mean around its 600°C of its melting point, so therefore 3500°F should be approx 1400° of which temperature degrees normal people use. Yes I could ask Google for a conversion but... Oh please.
It would make more sense if you explain it in Kelvin scale.
Yeah it's a convention like any other but this thing makes no sense to me. And by this thing I mean the whole imperial system, which for how's not organized I don't see it being a system at all. I'm born with ten fingers you know, I'm not a buccaneer which has lost some of them to a crocodile. Damn, I try to learn something and have to focus on how to find a units converter...
Somebody will have to be stopping this madness, I'm just doing my part.
Thanks for the content anyways, units of measure was not the point of it ok.
